I said honest "answer."Why would I not be honest?
But they try.”Science” doesnt work like that.
I imagine so.VirOptimus said:Your view sounds like tinfoil hat nonsense.
Just another example of science mislabeling something, then quietly truncating it and thinking we won't notice.
I'll say this though, I am surprised that one of science's most embarrassing mislabels, the "flying" squirrel, is still called "the flying squirrel."
They shot Pluto down faster than an honest vote; but the Glaucomys volans lives on.
Its challenging for you to make a coherent op?See why I call these "challenges" now?
Well, like I said, I just noticed it in a recent post [that I wish I could find].This is no challenge--you are just not keeping up with science.
Doesn't bacteria give off cytotoxins that keep other "tribes" at bay?Although it's not a very useful term, one obvious place to look for SotF is with bacteria. Especially when antibiotics are involved. The antibiotics put severe evolutionary pressures on the bacteria. If we're not careful (and we often aren't), bacteria that are more resistant to the antibiotics survive and thrive.
I think it's called survival of the fittest.Dunno. How would that apply in this case?
I think it's called survival of the fittest.
Mold gets on something, then gives off cytotoxins to ward off other species of mold that will try to invade.
Some people are sensitive to those cytotoxins and can get ill.
God bless you, jacks! Thank you for the kind words!I think they would like to go back to the term "natural selection", it has a kinder, gentler sound.
BTW AV it always amazes me how quickly you are attacked on these forums. You could say "Good Morning" and be stoned. It's to your credit you don't respond in kind. Keep smiling!![]()

He made that point himself, when he said:It's *always* been "natural selection" see the title of Darwin's famous book.

Fight or Flight.I'm not quite following your point. SotF relates to selection pressures. Something is killing off the population, and traits that help members of the species survives can become dominant in the population, as the members who lack those traits are wiped out. How does the cytotoxin apply to this?
Where does survival of the fittest fit in with evolution today?
