• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Yeah, I'm not really sure what's been going on with me lately. I used to have on and off ear problems that turned constant and then went away and now came back again. Before it was so bad that it also caused dizziness along with nausea and vomiting. I've been getting sick and feeling a bit nauseous just not as bad as before and I haven't gotten dizzy in weeks. Thankfully I'm seeing the doctor on Thursday, but yeah I haven't been having the best summer due to this. Of course it could always be allergies and right now it's been raining a lot so who knows. I could use some prayers though. :(

You have my prayers. Have you tried OTC dramamine? Perhaps dramamine 2 / non-drowsy?

I use that for motion sickness, but due to the fact that this thing has been constant and I get it just from waking up in the morning I'm pretty sure that's not what it is but God bless you both. :)

I also know that I wound up in urgent care recently due to this and in the car I was pretty sick to my stomach unfortunately. :( Really looking forward to the day where there will be no sickness. :) (Can't wait to see my Lord and Savior!! :D) Normally I'm enjoying life but right now I'm just getting by since I am currently miserable half the time. :(

It's probably all the virtual pizza :).

Lol I don't think so,.. it would be nice if I was virtually sick though,.. but yeah I could see how you would think that this was motion sickness but I'm not really in the car much anymore at all due to the pandemic. All I can do right now is hope that the doctor can help me and I pretty much already told the Lord flat out whenever you're ready to take me,.. I'm just waiting until I hear my name. He won't have to ask me twice though. :D

Praying all goes well with your doctor's appointment on Thursday. There are lots of conditions that can trigger dizziness: ear balance problems, benign positional proximal vertigo (BPPV), anxiety and many other causes. Your doctor might recommend you see an Ear Nose and Throat specialist. They can help identify the cause of the problem and suggest treatments, usually positional manoeuvres (Epley or Brandt-Daroff) as well as medications to help reduce vertigo and nausea.
I hope it all goes well for you on Thursday.
