That’s dangerous advice.

Jesus gave people dangerous advice ?

Also since this forum is for scripture based advice and I have provided my reference can you post yours for why trusting in God and giving away your possessions to follow God is dangerous ?

I know you understand how important forum policies are.

Matthew 19:21

Jesus did not tell anyone to sell possessions and move awaiting a rapture. When the Son of Man returns people will be carrying on as usual. The op is a kid that struggles with some mental issues.

And why the dig about forum policies ‘Jonathan’?

Many people are saying Bible prophecies are being fulfilled, and I honestly agree. Look at the state of the world right now.

And a lot of people are saying the Rapture is happening soon, and after the True Christians are taken up, it will be too late to repent. Is this true?

How can I prepare for this? Keep reading my Bible? Go out and help people? Not do anything and patiently wait?[/quote

You prepare for the rapture by being born again. The same way you are prepared for your sudden death that could occur at any moment due to life on this earth.

Why would the rapture be any different? It is all based on your trust in Christ for your salvation.

Also, how do I tell my family about their sin problems? I get embarrased to tell them, because I've told them already, and they yelled at me for it. Andrew Tiner said, if you're too cowardly to tell people about Jesus, how can you expect for Jesus to save you?

Who is "Andrew Tiner" to say that? You are not saved by telling people about Jesus. Especially after they have shouted at you....

Sounds like you did your part.. Not that it was required for your salvation. It is evidence of your love for them, to care about their future in eternity.

You are saved by your admitting guilt for your sin and accepting Christ as the one who can make you righteous through His work.

Christ will save those others if they accept Him...

Biblically there is no rapture. Jesus does not have two second comings, only one, and it is at the end of the tribulation period. If you do an in depth study of the bible you will see that the church is still in the earth, at the time of the man of sin, also known as the beast.
.
I agree, there are not two second comings.

Christ will return to earth at the end of the Tribulation.. with His army.. which includes His bride... the church.

The rapture is not a second coming.. It is the church "going"...

The church will be removed. The peace deal with Israel signed...
The temple offerings will resume...
The marriage feast in heaven...with Christ and His bride.

Then, at the end of the 7 years, Christ, His army of angels and His bride.. return and take the earth.

So, Ya... no two second comings. One rapture, One 7 years of tribulation.. One second coming.

Indeed, it is a profound advice on all times for those trying to reach God without even considering imminent return of the Lord.

You still haven’t posted scriptural reference for saying it is dangerous ?

As for importance of forum rules I have seen you on multiple occasions reminding people on Catholic forums about importance of those rules so I assume you want to hold the same courtesy when you post outside of your normal forums.

One can do so in many circumstances in life.

I gave my reasons for stating what I did. I never said there was scriptural reference to it. Are you a Sola Scriptura Catholic?

I’m not breaking any rules here. Unless me disagreeing with your post is a rule breaker. I don’t think it is.

Really ? Ok, I won’t pretend to have qualifications for giving advice if it is a medical condition.
Look. I disagreed with your post. Big deal. This is not a debate forum. I think given the posting history of the op which I’ve been following, you had some dangerous advise for him. Simple as that. You have yourself a good day.

Why do you worry about this so much? Whatever happens happens and it will be out of our control. Live your life and trust Christ. We trust Him, not our feelings.

Are you getting any treatment for your anxiety? This is not healthy way to live.

Just simply trust in teh death, burial and resurrection of jesus as the payment of your sin. You will be caught up with all the saints.

It is not about how obedient or disobedient child of God you are- it is just simply about being a child of God!

That ushered in the Kingdom and a new world for those who repent of the self serving ways of mankind.

It is not about how obedient or disobedient child of God you are-
Yet Jesus commanded us to put the will of the Father ahead of our own, thus loving all as self. Disobedience would not only be not following those commandments but also revising His teachings to allow man to think they can have it both ways.

Yeah...not sure I believe that. Pretty sick stunt.
It ruins any hope of a future for many raised in it. Why bother planning for a future that doesn't exist? I believe it is child abuse if you sample church services that teach it.

Christ plainly said that people would be marrying, etc. People worry about these things and it’s unprofitable. You just do the best you can do. God knows our hearts. But the mindset of gloom and doom all the time and calling it Christianity is warped and unhealthy.

This is a very warped indoctrination, especially for kids.

Trusting in Christ makes you a new creature! Yes we are created to do good works. But works do nto save nor keep us saved.

Whien Jesus died for you , He paid the price for all your sins, not just some of them.

No. The rest left behind will have time to repent. Not all will.
