He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws.

Constantine decreed (March 7, 321) dies Solis—day of the sun, "Sunday"—as the Roman day of rest just prior to the Council of Nicaea:

“On the venerable day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country however persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits because it often happens that another day is not suitable for grain-sowing or vine planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost.”

Christians must not judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honouring the Lord's Day; and, if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be judaizers, let them be anathema from Christ. (Canon 29 [A.D. 360]). (The Church Council of Laodicea circa 364 CE)

"The Church, on the other hand, after changing the day of rest from the Jewish Sabbath, or seventh day of the week, to the first, made the Third (fourth) Commandment refer to Sunday as the day to be kept holy as the Lord's Day." The Catholic Encyclopedia Topic: Ten Commandments, 2nd paragraph

"We have made the change from the seventh day to the first day, from Saturday to Sunday, on the authority of the one holy, catholic, apostolic church of Christ."--Episcopalian Bishop Seymour said in "Why We Keep Sunday."

You cannot actually change a law that is no longer in place.

Exodus 31
12 YAHWEH said to Moshe, 13 Tell the people of Isra’el, ‘You are to observe my Shabbats; for this is a sign between me and you through all your generations; so that you will know that I am YAHWEH, who sets you apart for me. 17 It is a sign between me and the people of Isra’el forever; for in six days ADONAI made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day he stopped working and rested.’

160+ years before Nicaea
Justin [A.D. 110-165.] The First Apology Chap. LXVII.
And they who are well to do, and willing, give what each thinks fit; and what is collected is deposited with the president, who succours the orphans and widows and those who, through sickness or any other cause, are in want, and those who are in bonds and the strangers sojourning among us, and in a word takes care of all who are in need. But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Saviour on the same day rose from the dead. For He was crucified on the day before that of Saturn (Saturday); and on the day after that of Saturn, which is the day of the Sun, having appeared to His apostles and disciples, He taught them these things, which we have submitted to you also for your consideration.

Well I am not Jewish.

This is a sign for Israel.

(CLV) Hb 8:10
"For this is the covenant which I shall be covenanting with the house of Israel after those days," the Lord is saying: "Imparting My laws to their comprehension, On their hearts, also, shall I be inscribing them, And I shall be to them for a God, And they shall be to Me for a people.

(CLV) Mt 15:24
Now He, [Yahshua] answering, said, "I was not commissioned except for the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

The Shadow Of The Sabbath
Colossians 2:16, 17. So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbath, which are a shadow of things to come, but the body of Christ.

Comprehending how the Sabbath is a shadow of things to come requires a perfect comprehension of the Sabbath itself. Many are locked in to the idea that the Sabbath is the one day of the week for cessation of work. If that were true, there would only be nine commandments during the other six days of the week. Look closely at how the command is stated:

Exodus 20:8. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

To remember-zakar- the Sabbath to keep it holy is a daily activity. For example, you are a contractor who is constantly bidding on work, managing on going projects and maintaining schedules. To keep the Sabbath holy requires you to remember every day that the Sabbath must be considered as you accomplish your daily planning. Completion dates are critical to avoid penalties, and if you truly keep the Sabbath holy, you cannot expect hired workers to be on projects while you rest.

Exodus 20:10. But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates.

For this reason the Sabbath becomes the day that fills all days, that daily occupies the thoughts and ‘forward thinking’ of the observant. Furthermore, zakar means much more than simply to remember. The correct comprehension is *‘to perpetuate the memory of’, and therefore includes carrying forward the memory and passing your love for the Sabbath to others, and the next generation.

With the full comprehension of the Sabbath, the shadow of the Sabbath is easily understood. What the Sabbath foreshadows is obviously that day when time is no more, when we enter into the Lord’s rest perpetually. When there is no more death, no night, no sun or new moon.

Just the Presence of our Holy God, and His Berit Shalom Shabbat.

Finally, it is noteworthy that there is no mention of Sabbath in the book of Revelation. Not in the promises to the seven churches in chapters 2 and 3. Not in the final visions of the consummation of the age and the new world to come in chapters 21 and 22.

Let the coming Day of the Lord fill your thoughts, every day in Him.

Revelation 22:21. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Israel was judged and destroyed in 66-70AD, because they broke the covenant with God and killed His prophets and His Son.

The new, better covenant was established, with true believers regardless nationality.

The Catholic Cardinal Gibbons, in Faith of Our Fathers, pg. 111, said, "You may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we (The Roman Catholic Church) never sanctify.

Interesting that you say this in response to what I posted. Do you somehow see a connection?

I did. There were some early sects that believed that every day was the sabbath. I believe that they had influence on the church of Constantine.

The old covenant does not apply anymore, its a clear and explicit teaching of the New Testament.

The old covenant was conditional and Jews broke it, God judged them and destroyed the old covenant "economy" in the first century.

So there is no need for "changing" the sabbath, there is no weekly sabbath anymore. You cannot change what is not there.

Okay, so you read it, but you failed to comprehend, because of some information about "the church of Constantine", that is congesting your dianoia.
Are you really not able to comprehend the difference between Keeping the Sabbath on Shabbat, and what the commandment actually says: "Remember the Sabbath, to keep it holy. I explained it very well, so I do not believe you did anything more than skim the essay, presumably all that is necessary, since you already anticipated what it contained. The evidence showing by you talking about some Talmudic-like tradition of their elders. If you have been paying attention at all, why do you think that would be relevant to me? Is it actually relevant to you?

Maybe I did fail to comprehend. What does any of that have to do with the topic of this thread, the changing of times?

The Catholic Mirror Sept. 9, 1893- "Nor can we imagine any one foolhardy enough to question the identity of Saturday with the Sabbath or seventh day, seeing that the people of Israel have been keeping the Saturday from the giving of the Law, A.M., 2514 to A.D. 1893 (to the present day)..."
