  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Had a splinter enter the tip of my finger horizontally when I attempted to remove it the thing broke off in half, I tried to dig into my finger with the tweezers only to find I pushed the splinter deeper to the point I could barely see it but feel it inside my finger.

I don't think I should leave a foreign object inside my finger, but what would happen if I did?

Right now its very annoying that there is something sharp inside my finger

Well that sounds really seriously painful!!!! So Idk, if you can afford to go to the dr. for it that may be the best thing to do bc you don't want to risk an infection or be in more pain. You may have to wait a while to be seen though.

There's this drawing salve called Prid that is good for getting splinters out.
Amazon.ca : prids drawing salve

It's sold at a lot of stores, google to see if there's one near you that has it. Idk if it's for such serious splinters but for smaller ones it's great. A friend here had told me about it bc he works construction in the summers & get splinters. I got a splinter in my foot when I was on the beach. It helped!

The body has remarkable self-repair capability; I wouldn’t be surprised if it (your body) expels the splinter on its own. However, I have zero medical training and am only speculating. Maybe give it a day?
