In Trump's speech he says "they" aren't sending their best people. Who does he think is orchestrating immagrants from Mexico? He characterises them as mostly drug dealers and rapists and says "some, I assume are good people".

Not really, no. I don't have any particular love for the Democratic party and, in fact, I think I probably share more baseline ideals and sensibilities with traditional conservatives than I do with traditional liberals. But at least right now, the Republican party has been entirely overrun by the kooky, dogmatic, sycophantic fringe (though I suppose they're not the fringe anymore) whereas in the Democratic camp, it's at least a mixed bag. You're going to have a tough time convincing me otherwise when the entire Republican party is drooling over somebody as glorious inept as Trump while spouting dogma that's patently false and promoting policies that were debunked ages ago.

Yes. And I did watch it, although I have watched and listened to that speech so many times that I can almost recite it myself, word for word.

It is simply wrong of his critics to say he claimed something when he did not. But this is how they come up with saying Trump lied 15,253 times (or whatever they are alleging at present. )

Messed up aint it? OK, lets apply truth... Have you noticed when both parties are in lock step with our money? The farce of a body politic that serves a people is the crux , right? The solution is getting that constitution back as it was stolen decades ago by amending "entity" into it. As entity grew to multi-nationalism it naturally gives us what we see today in trying to blame a party for serving a dollar. However, most people do not or will not re-evaluate what mamma and papa taught us because we trust them. What most do not understand is mamma and papa were taught Civics in school if they went before 1970. Those that went after have no civics in common curriculum (as designed) to further separate the parties. As we see today we got two billionaires facing off... How and why is that ? One would ask self, should I re-evaluate what I think I know where a person comes to a forum like this and expresses themselves , yet, the constitution wrote out the people and entity now reigns.

With the above paragraph (assumed true, to fed level politics), I would look into how ... it happened... using the supreme court to add amendments to entity under the guise... for you and me. Its how a few , overcome the many . To further break that down, instead of ratifying the states (as it is supposed to be) it was circumvented through a like minded few to use like minded judges to give entity rights to a peoples constitution without the people having a say. Or for dramatics sake, the 1% kicked the 99% butt by not including them in stealing the constitution to serve a dollar and/or the transference of power.

^^^ Time is a big factor above... A regular person thinks in today or 5 years from now. Entity thinks in generational leaps of the century. In picture an amendment sits as passed then 50 years later another amendment attached to the first and so on... The above states no ratification and as a whole that is untrue as some amendments were ratified in 18 and 19 hundred to sit on the books to add to them , temperature dependent < that meaning, how much do we trust and how ignorant are we. And so , the temp was right and the supreme court started amending the constitution too.

What did we accomplish in stating feelings to the dollar that must expand above our heads while we participate in a well designed structure drilled into our heads as real, referred to as the body politic ? I use the legal term entity (as it appears in amendments ((and no, I will not share said amendments because when one seeks for their selves , it is more gratifying in the labor you took to see.)) as it is umbrella term to encompass all things to the dollar). Meaning, got a bunch of dollars, open an LLC , Enterprise, Lobbyist Firm, Policy Writing Firm or Corporation etc. These are now people as the constitutions amendments recognize them to be termed entity. The flesh behind these people/Corps give out some of the bunch of dollars amassed to those that are wronged (slush fund accrued firstly in case it<the person thats not a person, lol, is caught.) and this is assumed by those in the club, the measure of punishment. Do we see it? The escape to the flesh? And or two teared law where the low man goes to jail but the rich one gives a piece of paper he has billions or millions of to escape flesh punishment as written into law? Guess I am tryen to say it like George Carlin , "we aint in the club" to escape flesh punishment,as designed, and politics serve the dollar not the people and the whopping truth is, this distracts and separates so the entity rules.

To the author of above quote... We all got issues and the above is not to belittle yours . I just had to step back and re evaluate the "fed level" of governance and apply truth to it as the main anchor. I am sure as a person we got more in common but can light a fire to our differences much easier to assuage our wrongs done to us by putting a letter behind it , lol. It appears that a Democratic voter or a Republican voter have many attributes, some welcomed by one team and some by the other, so you might expect pretty much everyone to have divided loyalties.

But the attributes actually seem to be clustered, so people usually end up on one side or the other.

Unity would depend on someone coming up with an idea so superb that it meets the requirements of both sides.

For example, Universal Basic Income.

UBI could be a big factor in the immediate future and is pretty much in the middle.

UBI: Republicans might like the right of the individual to decide how to spend their income. My pension is below the amount UBI would pay, but when I have a bit left over I spend it on learning, usually on some electronics.

UBI: Democrats might appreciate a person being able to survive long enough to reject really bad jobs or leave a really bad one knowing they won't starve.

If both sides agreed then I would on that at least, be agreeing with both.

A Basic Income is not a net, you need not stay stuck in it, it is a floor you can go up from.

In Contrast the present system:
'Social Security' is horrendously complex, and nasty. My last year at work I earned $1,300 a year above the limit for Medicaid, so I found I would have to pay $6,000 a year for Obamacare bronze and then in addition 40% of all costs up to 'The out-of-pocket limit for a Marketplace plan is $8,200' (Healthcare.gov), so the maximum is $14,200 dollars, very affordable the lady on the phone at Medicare helpfully explained.

So if I reached the maximum healthcare expenditure as seemed likely, my total take home pay would go from about $16,400 the previous year to, after adding on the extra pay, minus the new healthcare costs, about $2,000 dollars for this year, thanks to a pay rise.

That's not a safety net it's a trap.

My feeling is it would reduce one of the biggest problems in the US today which is stress / fear.

It may give people a place to start from and a more positive attitude with people being more likely to start their own business.

As Andrew Yang pointed out this is particularly important because the growth in employment is not due to mature businesses overall but to startups and this is going to become very important as automation advances in the next couple of years, yes, during the term of the next President.

Unlike the Republicans, Democrats don't dismiss the consensus of America's 17 intelligence agencies that the Russians attempted to influence the 2016 Election and are already actively trying to sway public opinion in 2020!

When told that Putin was promoting his campaign, Bernie Sanders[ response was to denounce all Russian interference in America's elections - in marked contrast to this President who in a fit of rage dismissed his own appointed Director of National Intelligence for having the audacity to report that once again the Russians were supporting Trump!
