Removing a healthier fruits and vegetables option from a lunch program - which is necessary for a nation that has a problem with obesity, diabetes, heart disease, poor digestion, parasitic infections, and damaged teeth - just because the "previous guy" did it is super-petty.

The kids ended up throwing away half their food when Michelle's plan when into effect to take away the foods the kids would actually eat. Not to mention the fact that these "healthier" options weren't nearly as filling as what they were used to and didn't give them the energy to get through the day. But this is what happens when the government dictates what a person can/cannot eat. I'm sure glad this program was just in schools and not applied to the general public.

Some things don't need replacing. They just need to be done away with, such as restricting what choices kids have for when they eat lunch, or programs that mandate that everyone buys into the program or they'll be fined.

Even things that should be replaced would probably be further along if the democrats would cooperate with the president in getting things done rather than playing impeachment politics full-time.

I don't know. I personally think it should just be eliminated. It's an unnecessary government program that was fundamentally a mistake in the first place and doesn't need to be replaced with a different version of that mistake.

Great parenting advice there. So if kids don’t want to eat healthy food they should just be handed junk instead. Gosh I wonder what started the US obesity crisis. Must have been all that kale..

As for nutrition, if you really think eating healthy food doesn’t provide energy, then you should probably let the professional sports guys know that they should be feeding their stars burgers and pizza instead of lean meats and veg. I’m sure they’ll be surprised to hear it.

Well, it's somewhat better than Moscow Mitch declaring that Obama was going to be a "one term president" and that was the ONLY job of the Senate in his opinion. Right? I mean at least Trump is now associated with a LARGE number of federal prisoners who were on his team, he has a pile of evidence now accumulating that he was seeking a bribe from a foreign leader to improve his own chances in the next election and he OPENLY begged foreign interference in our last election....
