Actually many Chinese are victims of trafficking being brought to the UK to work as slaves to pay of gambling debts in China.
China-UK people trafficking often driven by debt, experts say

They likely did not have the choice on whether to stay in continental Europe.

From the linked article:

'Chinese migrants hoping to reach the UK can typically pay smugglers anything up to £14,000 and may then find themselves in debt bondage, according to experts who work with them.'

There's a difference between being trafficked and paying a people smuggler. The latter is a service which an individual has paid for, whilst the former indicates coercion is used.

From Britain, which also gave the USA the incentive to kick their colonial masters off the continent.
So, do you think that America was right to kick their colonial masters out, or should Britain have continued to enforce its rule over them?

You make it sound like it was Britains choice.

You missed my point, I asked what your opinion was of their action.
I think that it's everyones right to fight for freedom, just like it's the right of every sovereign to fight to retain their power.

So in the case of Brexit, its the right of the EU to retain power over Britain, even when the people voted to reject that power.

Anyway, I thought this was pertinent. America seems to have made a success of its "Amexit" back in 1776, and so will we.

As far as I know it's not the EU that is keeping the UK in, it's the UK's parliament.

You guys could have been out a long time ago. With or without a deal.

Hopefully, that means a General Election, and we can toss our current antidemocratic MPs into political oblivion.

Drain the swamp?

But do not forget to change the water.

A duckpond full with weeds, pulling up the weeds helps little,

if the water is not changed.

Leaving the EU would be a HUGE mistake, the UK needs the EU and they need us, imo.

17.4 million voted leave the EU.

What is the point of voting if the result is not honoured?

But there you go.

Thats the way the mop flops.

Most people hadn't a clue what leaving the EU would really mean for the UK, which will be much worse off, imo. The NHS needs EU nationals and those from other countries to work in the hospitals, prices on goods are likely to rise substantially and some medications will be hard to obtain. It is a terrible mess.

That is not correct exactly,
It was three and a half years ago,

you would think that the number would be less today, but no there is even more determination to leave,

even after all the scare stories.

Moreover, many have not wanted to be members of the EU, for about forty years,

but, now when given the oppotunity to leave, they take it.

Really, given that almost every poll since 2017 has given remain the majority you are ignoring reality. What there is is an increasing number just sick to death of the subject! Personally I think we should have a referendum with one of the options being the last 3 and a half years never happened.
If there was a referendum on Britain’s membership of the EU, how would you vote? (Eurotrack)

Well of course polls are very reliable.

Even a form of manipulation, or can be.

It is simply the "wearing down" tactic that is being used, tire them out and they will cave in.

I think that relying on the USA for trade is not a good idea at all, especially with the present President.

I think if UK would try to solve the adversion they have toward Russia, there is something there that is a hinder,

there is so much suspicion, it is not sound.

For example threats of sanctions from the US
concerning Nordstream 2.

This post may seem off track and wandering but I had to delete much of it.

Being that I do not engage in politics normally,

But one does not have to be to see what is going on.

Well we shall see what happens. If we do leave without a good deal, the weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth will be heard the other side of the universe if prices go through the roof, and the staffing levels of the NHS are worse than they are at present.

Well, I have no say in the matter either way.

I post now and then but mostly in an attempt to stay awake.

Arguing is boring, sends me asleep. Haha.
