Haven't you learned by now that posting anecdotal quotes is a bad debate tactic? They carry little weight, are easily counter-quoted, and are often quotemined to begin with.

None of this proves anything.

If the world is flat.... the water would be level so the canal would be level.
If the world is round and the water follows the curve... the canal would be level....

Same for the tunnel.. except.. if they used lasers.... light does not follow the curve...

Just more non evidence for both sides.

It's not the science itself that lies. It's the incorrect conclusions that people claim to be 'science' that are the lies. A perfect example is evolution. Billions of people deceived over multiple generations. Why do billions of evolutionists lie? Because they just simply don't know any better.

Funny, I've seen laser beam tests done by both camps... the one done by the discovery channel was a mess of edits and errors in continuity...

Look it up.. it got torn to shreds by the people out there that actually test stuff like this... and.. get different answers.

Also, can you show any evidence that the curve was taken into account when digging the tunnel. There are lots of surveyor testimony that this is only found in text books and never actually used in the field..

Look that up too... I've been down this road and found no conclusive evidence for either camp to plant a flag in as winner.

Most, if not all, of the references are plainly metaphorical ...

"To the ends of the earth ... "
"From the four corners of the earth ... "

to who? The problem I run into with this is that those things ARE consistent with the model of the universe that most other societies around where the bible books were written believed, it's easy to call them metaphors now, but was that what the authors would have intended? I believe the earth is round, but also realize that people are fallable.

Just wanted to make a point that if globalists were half as respectful and considerate as you in answering questions flat-Earthers have for them, I might even consider reconverting back to globalism. I wouldn't do it, of course, because it's just plain wrong, but I'd consider it.

What part of what was said was respectful? Calling people decieved with zero evidence, is rude, and just have to read half the posts here by flat earthers to see why people are rude, only so many times you can take the same old PRATT's being used and the, "It's all a conspiracy and your lying." before you get annoyed.

Like i say if not till the second coming, or when you die (what ever come first) each and every person will get the answer to this. Some it will be to late, others i guess at the judgment seat of The Messiah you will have to see if this affects you judgment seat, judgment.

All i know is i am trusting God and His given word to be accurate in the description of His creation.

We're saying NOBODY knows where it comes from or what it is.

Einstein's garbage time space theory is garbage theoretical nonsense that has nothing to do with science. It should belong in the non-fiction nonsense section.

then explain that new clock that is so precise it's impossible to be acurate, because the slight differences in height of a few floors can cause two clocks that are calibrated the same to diverge, that's a consequence of space time.

What scares me the most about FE believers is not so much what they believe, but rather, their thought process in coming up with their beliefs.

I would argue that there are plenty of people who believe mainstream stuff however have thought processes that aren't too far removed from FE-ers.

The scary types of these are Youtube Videos featuring Ego-maniac idiot police...

Stop and think about this scenario. You get pulled over by someone who has the same thought process and reasoning abilities as a Flat Earther. They accuse you of doing XYZ when you did not do XYZ. You then go on to try to prove your case and argue with the officer (albeit politely of course) but all the evidence and reason you submit to said cop is rejected...

Of course, I'm not saying all police (or even a decent percentage) of them are FE-ers... what I am saying in general is that there is a non-trivial percentage of people (in various professions) who have horrifically bad and illogical thought processes and reasoning abilities that are on par with FE-ers.

That is why I find threads like this interesting and quite frankly scary.

The majority of creationist like myself, do not believe the world is flat or that the Bible teaches that is flat, quite the reverse.

The prophet Isaiah nearly twenty-eight centuries ago said ... "It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers" Isaiah 40:22 (NKJ). When Isaiah wrote this verse he used the Hebrew word "khug" to describe the shape of the earth.
