I think this is a good thing. It clearly shows what happens when people worship the wrong things, let alone entities. A Christian would never do this (I presume they got the memo)
Oh yes they would. Don't try to Scotsman out to make your group look better than they think they are.

Twitter itself should probably be deactivated by this point. It seems like whenever anyone gets in trouble, it's related to something going on with Twitter. I've seen honest-to-God ISIS propaganda accounts on Twitter. I guess they get by with it because they post in Arabic. Then you have people like this guy, who take their partisan politics into a potentially violent direction.

(Plus, then the president couldn't tweet. Could you imagine? Could you imagine how it would be if we went back to how things were before three years ago?)
Imagine if Twitter enforced its terms and conditions in regard the Donald’s tweets. Though I suspect that would hit their bottom line to hard.

AN MLB umpire tweeted about buying an assault rifle over the impeachment inquiry

Umpire Rob Drake tweeted late Tuesday that he planned to buy an AR-15 rifle "because if you impeach MY PRESIDENT this way, YOU WILL HAVE ANOTHER CIVAL WAR!!! #MAGA2020," according to a copy of the tweet obtained by ESPN.

Drake has since deactivated his Twitter account.

Major League Baseball officials learned about Drake's comments on Wednesday, according to a statement. The league said it contacted the Major League Baseball Umpires Association (MLBUA) and had "begun to look into it."

Lol. He comes out swaggering with moronic, delusional threats, then retreats from Twitter with his tail between his legs. Typical.

Look up the definition of sarcasm.
My apologies. That kind of defense has been used sincerely so many times that I have difficult telling the difference from a Poe and the real thing. It's revealing all in itself as well.

S'ok. It goes two ways also. Christian is more often than not, is not the definition of goodness, but merely a convenient label.

As much as I would like to brush him off as just some clown, I think we should take this more seriously. Especially with all of the gun violence in the U.S. In this day and age, people have proven that they have more than enough capacity for violence. There are some sick derranged folk out there.

Haha, the ump is co-founder of "Calling For Christ (callingforchrist.com), a professional umpire ministry"

If so, then he is profoundly, utterly wrong. Jesus Christ would never call His followers to commit mass violence for ANY cause, that I steadfastly believe.

Agreed. Jesus taught the only division between man should be those living in the ways of the Kingdom and those who refuse to let go of the ways of mankind

What I don’t get is what Trump has actually done to get such undying commitment from such a sizable portion of his base. I mean... people really liked Obama (and still do) but I don’t remember anyone threatening a civil war to shield him from any perceived criticism.

Trump has tapped into powerful but irrational forces in the American conservative psyche.

That is what happens to those who follow the will of the flesh rather than of the spirit. Desperate for carnal identity. Picture two arenas side by side with simultaneous events. Which arena would people fill.. the Trump rally or the Sermon on the Mount?

He hasn't been brushed off as a clown. He's been called out for his deranged comments around the world. He retreated with his tail between his legs.

I grew up during President Obama's years in the White House spending part of that time in a rural area that proud of their open hatred, bigotry towards him on account of his skin. Nobody in my own family held or tolerated this attitude, but it was on signs for bars, churches even. They bought fully into Donald's racist conspiracy theory despite its stupidity. They believed President Obama was illegitimate, wanted to cause a Civil War to drag him off of office. I learned early on what beer bellied middle aged men shoot their mouths off about with their buddies, or on Twitter what have you, and what they'll actually do rarely match up.
