This song reminds of people I know:
It's about a real life story of a guy committing suicide with a gun in front of an crowd of spectators.
It’s a dark song about suicide. “Hey man, good shot”... the lyrics are horrible.
No problem.Yeah I did some research now that you mentioned it:Hey Man Nice Shot by Filter - Songfacts
It's a rather interesting case, thanks. Although that kinda ruins the song Thanks for sharing.
No problem.
I'm sorry to hear that. I never knew anyone that took their own life. Why the "Prayers" rating? I was just letting you know who the band wrote the song about, not my personal interpretation of the lyrics.Yeah one of my best friends from high-school committed suicide But that's not the friends it reminds me of.

I heard the lead singer, Richard Patrick, talking about it on satellite radio years ago. He caught a lot of flack for making a song about something as personal as suicide, but he felt justified because the guy called a press conference to do it. Because the guy wanted his death to be a spectacle, he felt like writing a song about it was almost like honoring him. He wouldn't have written the song about someone's private battle with depression.
I knew about it, and I still enjoy it. Though I don't relish in the memory of the man killing himself, like Richard Patrick seemed to.Yeah I did some research now that you mentioned it:Hey Man Nice Shot by Filter - Songfacts
