Unelected career political officials who remain in positions year in and year out of influence as elected governments come and go. The mere existence of the deep state is not a problem - the problem is when these bureaucrats, due to their own personal ideological leanings, use that influence to undermine the policies of duly elected political leadership.

No. That's ridiculous. Even in the private sector, a CEO doesn't have supreme authority over every aspect of the business. POTUS has even less authority over government employees (who enjoy more workplace protections than many private-sector workers), especially outside the executive branch.

We must all remember that God is in ultimate control, He appoints all the government officials as He sees fit. The armed forces don't carry the sword just to look pretty, they wield it to protect us citizens. We must submit to our government as the Bible teaches.

They did some computations, and a few weeks later, the United States Treasury Department said the United States Government saved 4 billion dollars in interest because Lincoln had created his own money. So you can about imagine how much the Government has paid and how much we owe solely on the basis of interest.

Deep State. Formal name, the Civil Service. The people who run the day to day functions of government regardless of electoral shifts.

Most of them are benign. Like social security payment processors and the like.

Some of them are less than benign. They have agendas, desires, plans like all of us, really. But they have power. They have at their disposal the means to influence outcomes with calculated and slight inputs that few can tie back to them.

Congress-critters, military brass & private sector lobbyists make for interesting & devastating geopolitical 3-ways. This is what Eisenhower warned us about when he labeled this nebulous nexus of power, gun powder & money the, "Military-Industrial Complex".
