I don't know if any of you have seen the polar bear commercial but it says that because the icebergs are disappearing the polar bears are in jeopardy having to swim farther between the dwindling icebergs. They evidently need them to live and most are now covered with mud now and aren't white because of it but I don't understand that part of it I believe it is affecting most parts of the world. It has to and I don't understand those that believe that it is having no affect. For those that believe it is having no affect please explain your stand, thank you.

Its not effecting the world negatively because it is a lie. A socialist con job to scare people into giving them all kinds of power over our lives. That picture down below is a graph of Arctic and Antarctic ice levels from 1978 -2012. Which I have been aware of for decades now. What it simply shows is that the earths cyclical wobble on its axis. The northern hemisphere is getting more sunlight becasue the earth is tilted on is axis one way or the other. You do of course know that the computer models that predicted global warming did not include the biggest issue. The distance the earth is from the sun. The cyclical wobble, solar activity, the earths capacity to compensate, the effects of the oceans. Plus a million other factors known and unknown. They basically typed in a mathematical formula that said the earth will warm with more CO2. Then typed in mathematical estimates of how much CO2 man was adding to the atmosphere.

Polar bear populations are increasing over all world wide, not decreasing.

So the icebergs aren't melting? It sure looked bad for the polars when they were sitting on a little berg with water all around them. What about all the weather catastrophes we are having right now. Climate changes have nothing to do with that?

While it cannot be reversed quickly, and will get worse for a long while even if we significantly reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, it would help to reduce them just to prevent the even stronger warming that will happen if we don't.

It's expected the difference between the 2 paths -- the unavoidable medium warming we'd get even with reductions vs. the much worse big warming we'd get without reductions -- is dramatic enough, devastating enough, to be worth the effort.

Maybe it will all fall into place with Jesus' second coming.

Interestingly, 100-year, 500-year and 1000-year cycles were all crossing the baseline when Jesus was born. The birth of Mohammad was at a much more random time.

I used to believe in global warming, back when I was a kid and into that sort of thing. Twenty years later, when the predictions proved false, the ball got kicked down the road with new predictions, and the people still believe the new predictions because they forgot about the old ones that did not come true. I don't know what's really going on. I just know that the predictors are liars, and the general public isn't paying attention.

At any rate, I'm not worried. We can't put more carbon dioxide into the air than God created it with in the beginning...unless they lied to us about the origin of fossil fuels, also.

God made provision for controlling Carbon Dioxide. As an aside, without CO2, there would be no life as we know it. God's climate control system is the forest. Oceans also absorb huge amounts. CO2 can enhance growth. It is used in greenhouses to improve yields. When we cut down trees in huge numbers, we are damaging God's system. We are finding out that man's cleverness is no match for God's wisdom.
Your telling me?

I live in a tree.

I like bananas too.

Stop cutting down trees.

I know for a fact there are many in our government that want to use climate change as a reason to tax companies which cannot comply with whatever standards they come up with and of course the cost will be passed on to the consumer. The most irrational one I have heard lately is they want to tax cattle ranchers for their cow farts. The bottom line is the rulers that be are so desperate for more money they can dole out to the special interest groups that can get them reelected that they will do or say anything to stay in power. This is not to say we should not try to take care of the earth but taxes is not the way to do it. Our government is so far in debt now that most people who even think about it think America is on the verge of bankruptcy. Another scary part about this is that many of the powers that be want America to fail so they can start all over with a socialistic/communistic type of government. How many think that will work out well? Have you ever heard of any country that has worked out well for the common people?

I hear Canada is doing quite well in that respect. The greedy and the parasites just had to learn to share the wealth in ways that didn't continually gouge the people and the crown corporations that didn't get privatized at the hand off those same parasites are still doing quite well in offering good services for far less. Of course areas where privatization is taking hold are faring more poorly. Health care is the same across the board for everyone, common or elite, with access to top specialists for everyone, unless the greedy wish to go south and flaunt their cash of course. By south I mean Mexico. There the common people can have the most expensive procedures for no out of pocket cash or insurance and pay less income taxes overall than their American counterparts. Capitalism there never went rabid.

How is that possible when they can print as much money as they want with nothing to back it, as long as they pay a fee to the Fed?

You bet. The common people will be in the same jamb as you instead of what you once had also before some clowns got together to see what they could sell the people that they once got for free.
