I am told that when we become a Christian we can push the reset button and wipe the slate clean. We become born again we become a new creation in Christ. We can be forfilled, happy & content. Daily we are renewed so that life can not wear us down. We no longer live a life of quiet desperation.

If we have an end time, then that is followed by new beginning. Just when can we expect this to happen. As a people when do we become renewed, refreshed and restored

I hear what you’re saying but the flip side to that is we still have ‘fallen’ inclinations in a fallen world. That being said God uses those scenarios actually to smooth our rough edges.

That is the question, when is this fallen world going to be renewed and restored. When are the animals going to quit devouring and eating each other

That is the question, when is this fallen world going to be renewed and restored.
When are the animals going to quit devouring and eating each other
When they are born-again of spirit and receive Jesus...

Acts 20:29 "For I have-perceived this.
That shall be entering, after the departure of Me, wolves, weighty into ye, not sparing the shepherded/flock<4168>"

Galatians 5:15 But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don't consume one another.

2 Peter 2:12
But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption,
2 Peter 2:17
These are wells without water, clouds carried by a tempest,
for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.

Jude 1:10
But these speak evil of whatever they do not know;
and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves.
Jude 1:12
These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves.
They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots;

==============================
Pulpit Commentary
Gala 5 Verse 15. -
But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another (εἰ δὲ ἀλλήλους δάκνετε καὶ κατεσθίετε βλέπετε μὴ ὑπὸ ἀλλήλων ἀναλωθῆτε); but if ye be biting and eating up one another, take heed that ye be not one of another utterly destroyed. "Biting" and "eating up" are images drawn from carnivorous animals furiously fighting with each other.

The verb κατεσθίεν, eat up, which in 2 Corinthians 11:20 and Matthew 23:14 is applied to the eating up of a neighbour's goods, is here employed in its more literal sense, in order to furnish a figure describing that intense desire to vex and damage an antagonist, which but too often disgraces the so-called religious controversialist or partisan. The verb ἀναλίσκω, utterly destroy, occurs besides only in Luke 9:54 and 2 Thessalonians 2:8, of destruction by fire or lightning; so the compound κατανάλισκον, Hebrews 12:29. It points to another sphere of hurt than that referred to in the two foregoing verbs; for while these latter describe the eager endeavour to sting and "run down" a theological opponent, the former describes the utter laying waste of the inward life of piety.
The orthodox opinion may survive, and perhaps be even made clearer and more accurate; but the kernel of filial love and joy in God, and of love towards our brethren, may by the φιλονεικία, the bitter antagonism, of controversy have got to be altogether eaten out. A Christian disciple who has ceased to love, Christ teaches us, is salt which has lost its savour - utterly refuse and hopeless of recovery (Mark 9:50).

Beast from the Sea and from the Land

Revelation 13:

The wild-Beast Out of the Sea

1 And I was standing on the sand of the sea and I saw out of the sea a wild Beast ascending, having seven heads and ten horns.
And upon its horns ten diadems, and upon its heads names of blasphemy.
2 And the wild Beast that I saw was like as a leopard, and its feet as of a bear and its mouth as the mouth of a lion.
And the Dragon gives to it his power and throne and great authority.
3 And one out of its heads as having been slain/slaughtered into death, and the blow of the death of it was healed.
And the whole land marvels after the Beast.
4 And they worship to the Dragon that it gives authority to the wild Beast,
and they worship to the wild Beast, saying, ‘Who like to the Beast? who is able to war with it?
5 And was given to it a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies.
And was given to it authority to do which it is willing forth two months.
6 And it open it's mouth into blasphemies toward the God, to blaspheme His name and His Tabernacle and those who in the heaven tabernacling.
7 And was given to it to do war with the Saints and to overcome/conquer them.
And was given it authority over every Tribe and Tongue and Nation.
8 And shall be worshiping it all those dwelling upon the land,
of whom not has been written his name in the Scroll of the Life of the Lambkin, of the One slain/slaughtered from the foundation of the world.
9 If any is having ear — let him hear!
10 If any to captivity, into captivity he is giong away.
If any in sword shall be killing, it is binding him in sword to be killed.
Here is the endurance and the faith of the Saints.

Captivity and sword Luke 21:24 Revelation 13:10

The wild-Beast Out of the Land

11 And I saw another wild Beast ascending out of the land,
and it had two horns like a lambkin and it spoke as a Dragon.
12 And the authority of the first wild Beast all it is doing in view of it.
And is making the land and those dwelling in it that to be worshiping the first wild Beast, of which was cured the blow of the death of it.
13 And it is doing great signs that even fire it may be making out of the heaven descending into the land in view of the men.
14 And it is deceiving those dwelling on the land thru the signs which was given to it to do in view of the wild Beast,
saying to those dwelling upon the land to make an image to the wild Beast which hath the blow of the sword and lives.
15 And was given to it to give spirit/breath to the image of the wild Beast, that also the image of the wild Beast should be speaking.
And should be causing as many as shall no should be worshiping to the image of the wild Beast, that they may be being killed.

16 And it is causing all the small and the great and the rich and the poor, and the freemen and the servants that may be giving to them a mark upon their right hand or upon their foreheads.
17 And that no one may be able to buy, or to sell, except he who is having the mark of the wild Beast or the name of the wild Beast, or the number of it's name.
18 Here the wisdom is being!
The one having mind, let him calculate the number of the wild Beast, for number of man it is, and its number six hundred sixty six.

Hi we sure can be worn down and there are many scriptures teaching us how to learn too endure all things and bare all things and to suffer with joy and holding our salvation as our hope and the love of Jesus as our joy. This is not an automatic flip the switch and your enter into a force field from life's struggles. One thing I do know is that the peace of God is always larger than our circumstances and when we walk in the Spirit whom God gives us we can overcome all those obstacles. The trouble is we still have a sin or fleshly nature within us and we war within ourselves over our desires, emotions and all. The death of our bodies is when the promise is realized and our sin nature remains lost and the raised soul will get a new body apart from the corruption. So as we proceed we choose daily how we will walk.

I would say trust God and let Him run creation. And walk humbly with head bowed low before the Lord.
In the days of the 7th angel sounding the mystery of God will be finished, Revelation 10:7.
Matthew 24:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
All trumpets fulfilled in the 1st century............

Luke 10:18
and he said to them, `I beheld the Satan, as lightening/bright-star<astraphn <796> from out-of the heaven having fallen/pesonta <4098> [Revelation 9:1?]

Revelation 9:
1 And the fifth Messenger trumpets
and I saw a star<astraphn <796> out of the heaven having fallen/pesonta <4098> into the land and was given to him the key of the well of the abyss.
2 and he opens up the well of the abyss and ascended smoke from out of the well as smoke of a large furnace and is darkened the sun and the air out of the smoke of the well.

Matthew 28:18
And having come near, Jesus spake to them, saying, 'Given to me was all authority in heaven and on earth;

Revelation 12:10
And I heard a great voice saying in the heaven, 'Now did come the salvation, and the power, and the reign, of our God, and the authority of His Christ,
because cast down was the accuser of our brethren, who is accusing them before our God day and night;

Revelation 8 Commentary- Plagued by Trumpets

The Roman Assault on Israel Began around the Feast of Trumpets Hence the Seven Trumpets of Revelation—Thus Began the Jewish War.

In A.D. 66 while Judea was aflame in bloodshed, riot and revolt, Rome responded by sending the 12th legion in addition to thousands of auxiliaries from neighboring kingdoms. These troops, as if orchestrated by God, arrived in Jerusalem in the Jewish month of Tishri, a month that begins with the Feast of Trumpets. Called the Day of Judgment, it is on this day that trumpets sound the somber days of atonement and final judgment (Leviticus 23:24, Numbers 29:1). Thus began the Jewish War.3

That is the question, when is this fallen world going to be renewed and restored. When are the animals going to quit devouring and eating each other

On the Day of the Lord, when He comes as a thief.
(At His Second Coming.)

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Peter was looking for the New Heavens and the New Earth.
I am looking for the same thing.

That can be misleading. When we begin to comprehend God's grace and mercy for us - our "slate is wiped clean" of our shame.....but I don't believe it's an instantaneous event where, all of a sudden, we release unhealthy patterns we've learned growing up.....or realize all the lies we've believed over the years...etc. I believe our sanctification is a process that takes place as we seek Him and His truth in every situation. I like how Ray Vander Laan states that Christ brings shalom to the chaos of this world. Ann Voskamp wrote a beautiful blog post about RVL's teaching: How to Speak and Live God’s Shalom to the Chaos of a Broken World - Ann Voskamp

I believe God is *renewing and restoring" this fallen world now (and we are supposed to be His partners in that mission). I don't believe it will be an over night thing......and it can't be forced. You bring up animals devouring and eating one another. Have you worked with a fearful animal? It takes time and trust for them to change their instincts (and the same can probably be said for humanity as well).

The "Jewish" people equate this to the new year celebration. You end the old and you begin the new. Yet many things are still the same as it was on the previous year.

That's a great comparison, I think - like a fresh start.....but it's not as if things "look" differently.

Peter was looking for the New Heavens and the New Earth.
The new heaven and the new earth is after the 1000 year reign of Christ. At that time we will receive a Glorified Body. We rule and reign with Christ for 1,000 years.

Yet they talk about having to redefine themselves. When they came out of bondage in Egypt they were no longer a slave so they had to redefine who they were. When they survived the Holocaust they had to redefine who they were and they wanted to return to Jerusalem and once again become a nation. Even after they had been scattered to the world, God was still able to bring them back together again. They call this to run and return and it is reflected in the cycle of life. God makes division so He can bring unity.

Where is the reset button?

The reset button is in God's Hands. I go by the parable of the fig tree. But forums rules prohibit me from stating a not later than time frame. Jerusalem is the fig tree, which I get from Matthew 21:18-22. Jesus knowing that he would be rejected by Jerusalem. The length of a generation, to me, is in Psalms 90. The confirmation of the covenant for 7 years is in Daniel 9:27.

So, I would go by what Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:15-31:

Matthew 24:
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

I know that we disagree as to the timing - but I do agree that you're correct about this parable (the parable of the fig tree) signifying a "reset button" or a time when things were revolutionized and turned on their heads.

Ancient Jerusalem and the system of the Levitical priesthood were set up to portray & demonstrate God to others. That privilege, I believe, was taken from them in a very real way at the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD as prophesied by Jesus in the parable of the wicked tenants (recorded in Luke 20:9-19; Matthew 21:33-46).

I understand your point. Differently, I am thinking about the time when the wolf will lay down with the lamb.

Right......our disagreement is about timing and how events line up to one another.

Obviously there is plenty of fear leading people currently instead of love. Until fear has been replaced by love, trust, loyalty, goodness, etc......we won't be seeing a wolf and lamb feeding together (commonly). Maybe it's happened in controlled environments, though (where the animals learned they could trust one another and were supplied all their needs for nourishment).

This video I found to be interesting. It is a baby wolf....and there is a sheepdog watching over everything....but there's a sense of curiosity - not danger and fear - here between the sheep and the wolf:

ETA: Months later.... (neither animal was harmed)
