CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I had a lip ring when I was a teen in the same spot. Got rid of it because it got infected... you are supposed to wait a certain amount of weeks when you get it to kiss and such but I had a longterm gf at the time and that wasn't an option. She didn't seem to mind it. It doesn't get in the way as much as it might seem, you hardly notice it (at least for myself, can't speak for others).

Lol, nope. Not on account of being worried about any pain in getting in, or any hassles, but worried about how my girlfriend & my mom would react, lol. They'd cause a different kinda pain & hassle. On top of that, I can't even have facial hair with my job, so a lip ring definitely would be a no-go.

Please pray for Ella bc she is in the hospital atm recovering from an adrenal crisis!! She had sepsis as a baby bc of chickenpox & it destroyed her adrenal glands. Her body doesn't make the stuff needed to help regulate sodium levels to be able to cope with super hot temperatures. It was like 100 degrees at her school yesterday. She had convulsions. She is expected to be ok but is going to be in the hospital for the rest of the week. Then she has finals!

Oh gracious. I got offline, prayed for her as soon as I read this. Will pray again during morning prayers. First & foremost for her to be fully healed from the adrenal crisis. I looked that up, it sounds scary as heck. Then when healed from all that, prayers for her finals. This gal is smart as a whip, I have no doubt she'd knock the finals out of the park if feeling alright.
