It is important, for the sake of spirituality, that we divide the man into three parts… Physical, Spiritual, and Intellectual. If E = mc2 then we can divide and conclude that...

Mass (m) = Energy (E/c2) And there are three varieties...

Natural E/c2 - All mass is basically cooled plasma, the sun is the visible form of E/c2
Mental E/c2 - Our thinking can produce creativeness, light, and good things
Spiritual E/c2 - E (motivation, warmth, love) / c2 (faith, hope, charity, joy)

The Natural E/c2 in the form of mass produces a gravity that attracts other objects
The Intellectual E/c2 produces a gravity that draws us to study
The Spiritual E/c2 also has a gravity that draws and makes religion attractive

Just Because....
  1. Natural E/c2 - You were once upon a time physically fit does not mean you are so now.
  2. Intellectual E/c2 - You were once intelligent does not mean you are so now.
  3. Spiritual E/c2 - You were once filled with the Holy Spirit does not mean you are so now.
The light and the energy must be maintained and updated on a daily basis.

I'll buy that. I have read that we are a mass of photons, when I was researching the light of God. As some may know here, my father who was in the ministry became literally illumined while engaged in a deep spiritual quest, loving others as Christ said, literally being filled with love and light. My mother who is now 92 and I both witnessed this and the light stayed with him for decades. The info is on my blog here.. Commentary on “The Light”

Also, F=ma, Force = mass x acceleration.

A mass (like a physical person) which acts (acceleration) in the world produces a force which compels changes in the world, and a changing world is not at rest or peaceful.

Therefore a mass which does not act produces no force, achieves rest and peace - nibbana.

Where does consciousness fit into your equation? Consciousness is aware of the spiritual, but is not spiritual. It's aware of the intellect, but isn't intellect. It has no mass, yet it exists.

Our mind organizes experiences in different ways. The mind (via the reason) and the senses (via the mass) both make important contributions to consciousness. Immanuel Kant’s reflection on Physics led him to develop a new theory of knowledge that combines rationalism and empiricism into a new synthesis called critical philosophy. Kant agrees with Hume that knowledge begins with experience, but disagrees to the experience sensual limitations. “Though our knowledge begins with experience, it does not follow that it rises out of experience. Just as a person wearing sunglasses sees things differently, so the human being sees things according to that structure.”

Kant distinguishes the consciousness into two dimensions, sensibility and understanding. Sensibility is the minds way of receiving representation of things (intuition- insight) from the body, Understanding is how the mind actively thinks about those objects. Theories about the forms of intuition and the categories of the understanding lead to distinguish phenomena (appearances as filtered through our senses and understanding) from noumena (things themselves as they exist independently from the mind which we can never know).Intuition is the ability to acquire knowledge without proof, evidence, or that which is reported through the senses.

So the senses aid our mental ability to reason the structure of reality. But.... Spirituality and Mass exists outside Intelligence, so it is impossible for us to know true form.

Consciousnesses -
  1. Natural E/c2 - The senses in our mass that reports to the brain.
  2. Intellectual E/c2 - Our minds ability to organize that which is reported via the senses
  3. Spiritual E/c2 - The spiritual sensation that is the result of the reasoning and the senses

And to separate the spiritual from the natural and intellectual, a little bit more....

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. - Hebrews 11:1

So... Faith and hope contribute to creating things that have not been pictured via the imagination intellectually (via the mind, or things that many would consider miraculous) or naturally (via the senses).
