  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Can't CERN open Star Gate to hell?

So you're admitting the whole undertaking is pointless. It's nothing more than an intellectual curiosity that yields nothing worthwhile outside the purely theoretical?
It's pointless if you think understanding how the universe works is pointless. That's your value judgment, not mine. The reasons that nations fund particle physics -- and space exploration, and deep sky astronomy, and lots of other things -- include genuine interest on the part of lots of people and national pride. Poetry, painting, sculpture, drama, national parks, museums -- none of these have practical value either, you know.

Robert Wilson's justification to Congress on how building Fermilab would strengthen the defense of the US: "It has nothing to do directly with defending our country except to help make it worth defending."

The pursuit of knowledge is not pointless.
Sometimes these intellectual curiosities lead to great benefits for humanity.
The positron was discovered in a Bubble Chamber in 1932 which was predicted by Dirac using ground braking mathematics a few years beforehand.
Today positrons are used in PET scanners in hospitals.

When you say "memories" what do you mean exactly? Can you rephrase in a lay way?

RAM. SSD drives. Registers. L3 cache.

In a superconductor, once you induce an electric current, it just goes on forever and ever. If you can start and stop it at will, that's memory.

A lot of science starts out that way, but then they end up finding something that turns out to be useful, which they never expected when they started. In fact, a large amount of modern technology originated that way.

It's a literary reference, not a religious one. The role of Shiva in Hindu theology is a fanciful allegory for the work of CERN. Besides, it's a cool statue.
It is "cool", because it is erotic naked idol. The idolatry comes together with sex sins.

Cern is definitely a portal to Hell. People took videos of demons from their phones and posted them on YouTube. It's real!! Also they're changing our history at CERN!! Have you heard of the Mandela effect?? So Crazy!!
God is powerful enough to prevent history from change. Why? God is Verity.

More in the paper, see the file attached:

I have papers in Physical Review E, European Journal of Physics B, etc.~\cite{la}. Because in General Relativity the Universe is four-dimensional spacetime, one cannot destroy anything inside the Universe. My academic activity is forever in there. Moreover, due to the ``relativity of simultaneity'' our free-willing actions can not change the course of history: we write history, without ever rewriting it \cite{Morris}. Because our current actions are the happened past for some observers. And an observer, who has experienced all history changes (by time-travellers), will remember all these changes: so an observer's past can not be changed (just like the proper time in Einstein Relativity, the proper history as inner characteristic of people is invariant-unchangeable)! Simply said, if the Absolute Truth about the Holocaust could be changed, then the Absolute Truth is not invariant; thus, it is not the Absolute Truth. We came to contradiction, thus, the history (neither past nor future of it) can not be changed. Please, feel personal connection to your blood-brother's CV, we all have common ancestors: Mitochondrial Eve and Y-Chromosomal Adam

You mean the people with the capabilities of creating a Black Hole?

I was thinking of scientists in general outside of this country. Or people in general, if you like. People outside the US don't know or care very much about creationism as most creationists live in the US. Even so, people in the US wouldn't care about them very much either if so many creationists hadn't made a political issue out of it.

Which creationism? Intelligent creation, or 6000-years-ago creation? It's pretty obvious the universe was engineered. The boltzman constant alone had to be exactly the right number for it all to exist. I doubt many astrophysicists at all believe in 6000-years-ago creation, but whether you believe in intelligent creation or not matters a lot when forming hypotheses. It's the difference between trying to reverse-engineer the universe vs. assuming it is all ordered spontaneity.

Yes, 6000-years-ago-creation or ID or any other manifestation of conservative fundamentalist evangelicalism. Most of that is little known outside of the US and is decidedly not so political--theistic evolution of some kind appears to be more the norm amongst Christians.

The idea of multiverse does not save our Universe from growing into chaos (look up the Laws of Thermodynamics). Because the universes are disconnected physically.
