  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Does anyone get anxious about the future?I know I do,I always think and wonder what will happen in the future, and I get so nervous and excited about the future,it can be nerve wrecking to think about the unknown.

Hi SS100,

Well none of us knows the future, so it can be a little disconcerting.

With Best Regards,
DaDad

John 14:1 says "Do not let your heart be troubled, you believe in God; believe also in me.

The literal Greek translation is Do not allow your heart to be troubled...

While we all get anxious from time to time, Jesus tells us that we have troubled hearts when we allow it - and to not do that if we can remember not to. So if you see that you are easily anxious - especially about the future - try and resist the temptation to be afraid or anxious. Don't be troubled. Be exceeding glad that you have been bought with a great price and are always in His loving care.

These things are pretty much laid out in Bible Prophecy, with some common sense "prepping" fundamentals.

I'd like to do some more comprehensive prepping but even such undertaking is expensive! The supplies, ammunition, tech, etc, etc. You may even have buy tracts of land.

I only have this old military field manual, how to survive in the wild with the most minimal resources available. It practically costs you nothing, just the will to survive.

Our FAITH carries us through circumstances, but our COURAGE blazes the path. You might consider the saying: "without fear, there is no courage". And so Scripture REPEATEDLY calls us to be courageous:

Deut. 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Or so it seems to me ...

Hey TW,
I know exactly where you're coming from. But at the same time, you might want to take a look at the "Prepping Forum" for additional perspective, and then possibly re-think your options.
