I want to get shirts/merch from friends and other people who have Christian/Nerd podcasts and ministries so I can support them, and rock their merch when I do videos as a way to subtly plug them.

Is Keto healthy for a long-term lifestyle choice or more just as a way to lose weight?
I don't know much about it but have been wanting to find out more about it.
I struggle with maintaining normal potassium and sodium levels...bananas are my friends. :)

NOT healthy for long term and for some, not even short term.

What is your podcast about?

Mostly Christianity and pop culture - but occasionally politics and life with a christian focus. We do a ask a pastor series, interviews, and talk mostly about comics and movies.

Do the bananas wear pajamas? Or does that humanize them too much?

I made meatloaf and mashed potatoes in my instapot.
How is that? Swan and I have been looking at that and the Ninja Foodi.

I was sold on the instapot but after seeing that the foodi does everything the instapot does except yogurt making but the foodi also does air frying and the top tier of the foodi even does dehydrating now Im on the fence for which to get.

I like it because I can put everything in and walk away while it cooks. I don’t have to stand over the stove or try to time my cooking so everything gets done at the same time. It’s like a crockpot but faster.

A few months ago we (My wife and I, her sister and her husband) were at the quilting show in Chesapeake VA. There were a lot of vendors there selling both regular sewing machines and the long arm quilters.

One of the guys (tht my wife and her sister both bought machines from) was joking about selling the wife the sewing machine and they throw in an Instapot for the husband.

Some people do keto for life and you can definitely do it in a healthy way just like you can do the reverse (high carb, low fat) in a healthy way. For me, I don't think I could do it long term though.

This is probably my favorite keto recipe and what I've had for dinner the past 2 nights:

This is my go to keto breakfast. I make it without onions so my breath isn't as stinky and its even fewer carbs:

Been looking thru some of the stuff I brought back from my mom’s after she passed last April.

Found a booklet with my name on it called “learn to bake;” It was published by General Foods in 1947. I kind of remember it. My grandmother was a 4-H teacher of baking for decades, as well as a judge of baked goods at the county fair. As a grade school kid, i spent most summers on their farm. So I got to/had to sit in on her classes with about a dozen high school girls; and I think that booklet was her text. Kinda heady stuff for a 5th or 6th grader to be hanging with a bunch of really cute high school girls, all of us up to our elbows in bread dough and flour.

Anyway, it did instill a like for baking. Every time I kneed a bowl full of bread dough, it connects me back to my grandmother and sometimes reminds me of those classes.

I did find in the booklet a table connecting common us measurments to their metric values. Most progressive for 1947. Very useful.
