Typical conversation with a flat earther:

FE: The earth is flat

RE: No it isn't.

FE: You only think that because you've been conditioned to believe it and never actually investigated it.

RE: What about *massive list of scientific evidence*

FE: CONSPIRACY! MASSIVE, MILLENNIA-OLD, GLOBAL CONSPIRACY!!!!1

RE: Do you have any evidence for this claim?

FE: Well, you prove the earth is round!

RE: Okay, what about all of the experiments you can do yourself to prove it?

FE: Those don't work!

RE: How do you know? Have you tried them yourself?

FE: No, but I watched Youtube videos of other flat earthers saying they don't work so they don't!

RE: Well I've done them myself and they work

FE: YOU'RE PART OF THE CONSPIRACY!

If it is there, as they claim it is, why dont they go and video it etc?
That would make a great National Geographic cover...!

Just to pick two pieces of evidence: the stars visible in the Southern Hemisphere, and the way that they move. How do you explain that? And the airline flights from Sydney to Santiago and from Sydney to Johannesburg which pass by Antarctica. How do you explain those?

Speaking of flights there's yet another example where what flat earthers claim is a conspiracy is simply explained by airline safety rules. They claim there are no flights over Antarctica. That's not true because Quantas does a charter, but it is true that there aren't any flight paths of scheduled commercial routes over Antarctica. Clearly that's because NASA won't all any civilian planes to fly over the ice wall and crash into the dome...

... or maybe it's because airline safety regulations require flights remain within corridors so they're never more than their certified 1 engine flight distance away from an emergency landing site. It's called ETOPS for Extended Operations and depends on the ratings for each aircraft.
ETOPS - Wikipedia
As readers can see by this list, there are no Diversion Airports anywhere near Antarctica so no two engine aircraft can fly a route bringing it close to the continent.

Great examples of why I stopped presenting evidence to this group. Insults, mocking and ridicule. Laughably predictable.

I asked a valid question, which you ignored / avoided.

If you don't want a reasonable discussion, you won't get one.

I'll try again, has the flat earth ever been mapped, do those maps differ from global maps?

You are totally wrong. The scheduled commercial Qantas direct Sydney-Santiago and Sydney-Johannesburg flights do indeed fly great-circle routes close to Antarctica. And ETOPS does not apply, because these flights use quad-engine 747 aircraft.

You will all feel a little silly when you get to the other side and find out it really was flat, that you allowed yourselves to be played as fools all your lives, and have to give an account for maligning fellow believers in this matter.
Im sure that if there is an afterlife, we all have a lot of things to feel silly about during it.

Some of us even start feeling silly before death.

{snip video posted previously}

... I just neglected to mention that ETOPS only applies to twin engine that quad engines can indeed fly that route.

I'm tired man, it's nearly the end of my work week.

Yes, there are rich and powerful people who are pedophiles, just as there are poor people with little power who are pedophiles, and middle class people who are pedophiles.
The problem is, that it's a part of the culture of the rich and powerful.
If they want you to join them, they compromise you, so they can control you.
Your assumption that normal people are just as bad (per capita) is just relativism.
They can't afford to buy children either.

It's about power over others and about power trips (like a drug).
Apparently that's arousing enough, but there are possibly (well, probably) also religious aspects to this culture.
Pedophilia is a thing among people who assume power over others.
This may be why in certain hierarchic denominations this seems to pop up frequently too...
Seems to have to do also with the particulars of the ideologies of the 'initiated' of such organisations...
(you know, the esoteric vs. exoteric thing)

Actually the ‘main stream news’ has played a large role in uncovering pedophilia in various kinds of care homes, among a small number of media stars, and within other organisations where people have had the opportunity, like the RCC and the Boy Scout movement. Unfortunately there are a small number of deviants in all walks of life.
I wonder why the part of the population that owns everything is usually not in the news about this...
How come?
You will find them in the independent media though.
But it seems you think independent means biassed, and owned means objective..?
That would be strange..
Going from things that actually happen, as reported by people who know the difference between real things and fantasy, to notions like ‘pizzagate’ and George Bush Snr being executed etc.
I think you mean McCain.
That is indeed a theory.
He was perhaps found guilty of treason, for which there's evidence, and tried in a military tribunal.
There's not a lot of evidence for that scenario to go by though.
is not however a logical or rational step.
If you think pizzagate / pedogate is fantasy you have apparently not looked into it.
You just repeat what they told you.
That is the strangeness of this kind of idea, the ‘because this happens, this other thing must be happening’ thinking.
I think you're pleading from ignorance and assumptions you have been fed.
Maybe you accept it because it gives you some peace of mind.
I don't know.
It shows both how effective the Soviet style disinformation is, and just how many people there are who want to believe they have ‘special understanding’, and that their ‘feelings’ about ‘what’s going on’ are more reliable than the professional journalists who often uncover real events, and who dismiss phony stories because they are, well, phony.
So it's the Russians and ad hominem argumentation again...

Anyway, you prove how difficult it is to persuade "normies" (God bless them) to look into something.

Actually it’s the other way around. The large press outlets occasionally make errors, which they own up to and take responsibility for. The majority of the time news contains information about things that happen. Which of the many news stories in the ‘msm’ this week were untrue?
I don't keep track.
But you may by now have noticed that there's an information war going on, especially in the USA.
The rest of the world is also waking up, albeit slower than i would like.
Still many people are defending their enemies.
They are deemed "useful idiots" by the power elites (Marxist globalists, deep state, however you want to call it.).
They push as many conspiracy theories as you think the others do.
Maybe you've heard of this Russian Collusion conspiracy theory.

Is there not a Conspiracy section for you to peddle your paranoid nonsense? This thread is for discussing a flat-earth.

Yes, you can take that as an ad-hom if you like.

I'm trying to work out how the supposedly real-time feeds from those fake satellites manage to show storms tracking toward land - then a real storm the same size seems to hit in the same spot!

Either 'they' are using time machines to find out what's going to happen, and fake the footage from that, or the news reports and documentaries about the storms on the ground are all very carefully faked with a cast of thousands. I can't decide which...

They would just say that the satellites use a fisheye lens or something.

Is that why we get snow? The dome is turned upside down every now and again? Lol

Sometimes they say satellites are real, but that they are held up against the sky dome by helium balloons. Other times, they say that the imagery is CGI.
