I have a Christian friend in the U.S., he has an interesting perspective: he actually WANTS the swamp. Of the two choices, he felt Trump was an idiot, and Washington would get bogged down by all the in-fighting and wouldn't get anything done. Which was better than the alternative: Hillary getting elected, and the government carrying on with their conspiracies pre-dating them both.

I don't know that I subscribe to that. but I'm keeping an eye on it.

Exactly what the OP accerts is not happening. Concerning the same individuals that it is claimed that nothing is being done about. Mass arrests, indictments, and military tribunals. Even hangings for treason is possible. It is stated that John Brennan's trial will be broadcast live.

Regular inmates sent to Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina. High risk/priority inmates, GITMO. Low priorities FEMA camps.

My prediction is come January* none of that stuff will have happened.

This is to all the Trump supporters.

One of Trump's big slogans in the campaign was "Drain the Swamp", implying an intent to remove corruption from the halls of the capital. Roughly two years on, I was hoping that some of his supporters (or non-supporters, too) could describe for me some of the progress that his administration has made in rooting out corruption that doesn't directly impact or target him - IOW, where has he tackled corruption for the sake of tackling corruption, not because that corruption was somehow making his life more difficult? (e.g. Firing Peter Strzok doesn't count.)

It's no secret that I don't like the guy, but if he's done something good on this front, then I'm more than happy to give credit where it's due.

I'll give him this much....corruption used to be harder to identify. Now, he's filled DC with cronies that are easily identified as corrupt.

If the old corruption resembled a swamp....the new corruption is a shrine on top of a mountain with a stairway leading up to it.

That is the problem. Everything Trump has done concerning these topics are either considered a "doofy conspiracy theory"... or it is forbidden to be discussed without reprimand on any social media. The issue is not that nothing is being done. The issue is, it cannot be discussed. There is a complete block, and a stazi like ban on speaking about these topics. So it continues unnoticed by those who believe nothing is happening.

This is more than politics for me, and is outside of or more than the Trump administration.

Concerning this topic is the promise of God healing the land of repentant believers that turn from their sins.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

These 'sins' of America is mostly what is termed as a liberal agenda. Homosexuality. Abortion. Promiscuity. Pedophilia. Open borders. The dissolution of the nuclear family, one wife, one husband. The debasement of the male role as the head of the family. The attack on Christian ideals, and the bible.

That is what is at stake here, and we cannot 'turn from our sins' while others who are in control of our country enforce such practises. So they will have to be removed for God to heal the land. Without these leaders forcing these issues on the populace these issues will not remain. The vast majority of the population of America do not want these policies, and they want them gone. Again, these individuals fighting against Trump are not fighting Trump.

Not to mention the leader of our country honors/blesses Israel. Which is yet another biblical promise God will bless that leader and his nation.

I guess I just don't care much about the things you listed. Except pedophilia, but there is not any kind of huge support for that from liberals. I have gay friends and I'm happy that have the right to marry if they choose. They, too, can live in an institution. I don't care if people want to have sex. That's their business, not mine. I avoid abortion talks. How is it a liberal agenda to break up families? Those families can stay together, it ain't my fault they aren't. Very few liberal argue for open borders, despite the fear-mongering on the right. I'm a liberal and I wouldn't want what you would describe as open borders. I just want border policy to be grounded on methods that work, not ones that do not work but make us feel good. That's stupid. Security theater is stupid.
