If a person believes that justification is by faith apart from works, then he doesn't do works in order to be saved, but rather puts his faith in Chris to save him.

And both must abide by the covenant..

Our side is the faith requirement that Jesus has covered us. Jesus side is his shed blood. That is the new covenant.

Hi, sis. Be open. Believing in only a pre-trib rapture sets you up for disaster if it is not true. You will be taken off guard.
I choose to be ready to go through the tribulation, even to the point of losing my head, and if I get raptured before the tribulation, that will be great. Tribulation is not wrath - first mistake of pre-trib. teachers. The letters to the seven churches gives us advice to just be a Philadelphian type believer, and even if you will be here during the tribulation, you will be "kept" from the terrors of it, just as the children of Israel were present during the plagues, but kept from them.

Several people who say they hear from God
(I won't call them prophets/watchmen any more),
are saying that His "remnant" believers who have been practicing righteousness, who are faithful, sanctified unto holiness, etc. will be the first fruits taken up in a pre-trib rapture; and those left behind who do the blue will be divinely protected and provided for during the reign of the antichrist.

It's the old story ...

In John 15:1+, Jesus is talking to all BACs for all time.
It's all about "Every branch in Me ..." (John 15:2)

The eleven received the Spirit in John 20 without which they weren't born again. The other 120 didn't receive the Spirit to be born again until the Day of Pentecost ...

Again, I repeat that the 120 were born-again ...
BEFORE the staggering events on the day of pentecost.

In Acts 1:15 they are called disciples or believers.
In Acts 2:1 they are called "they" or believers.
... Depending on your Bible version ...
The NLT calls them "believers" in both verses,
which is what they were!

Also, what is the definition you are using to determine the criteria or what constitutes a “first century modeled church”?
