He was exiled by Arians and Semi-Arians, or under the pressure of the same put upon various emperors. Again, if that's your lot, go ahead and be with them (I've been saying for years now that Mormonism essentially embraces Arianism in all but the explicitness of its denial of the truth), but I'm not going to doubt who won out in every case. HH is a saint in all of Christianity, and even if he weren't his record of standing for truth in the face of error speaks for itself. The empire doesn't decide what is true and what is not. HH St. Athanasius was "contra mundum" for a reason: the world was wrong, as it was in the grip of the Arian heresy.
