Isaiah 13:9-13 The Day of the Lord is coming, a cruel Day of wrath and fierce anger to reduce the earth to desolation and to destroy all the wicked there. Humans will become scarce and the earth shaken to its foundations at the wrath of the Lord on that Day of His blazing anger.

Isaiah 66:15-16 The Lord is coming in fire, like a whirlwind with the flaming fire of His rebuke. He will judge with fire, testing all mankind and many will be slain by Him.

Ezekiel 20:47 & Ezekiel 21:4 I am about to kindle a fire in Israel, it will kill the righteous and wicked alike, My sword of slaughter is against everyone from the Negev, northward.

Ezekiel 30:1-5 & 16 Wail: Alas for the Day of the Lord in near, A Day of darkness and gloom for the nations. Death will come upon Egypt, all the Arab peoples will fall on the day I set Egypt on fire.
From these prophecies, we can see that this is not the final judgement, or the Great Day of the Sovereign Lord; the Return of Jesus, but is the judgement of the nations.

Hi I like the post and have respect for your adherence to believing what you see in the scriptures literally. I do not always agree with your conclusions but enjoy your contributions very much. I look at the coming judgments and am not sure how it will play out or occur and do know that God says He brings the judgment but also points out that He will destroy those who destroyed the earth. For instance I see the recent California fires and elsewhere like none any has seen. There is now no difference between a naked native living in the Amazon rain forest and a modern Orthodox Jew living in the middle east.

Based on Matthew 10:5-7, and Romans 1:16, and Galatians 1:14-18, the Gospel was taken "first" to the Jewish people for a period of about 7 years, before Paul began his ministry to the Gentiles.

Yes, if you care to look, there is at least one movie about the earth being struck by a CME, also the one with Nicholas Cage, where NY gets tsunami'ed.
Several books give their authors ideas of what the world will be like after the Lord's Day of Wrath. None have fully dealt with the subject; they just tell of the earthquakes, or the storms and tsunamis, or the loss of all electric systems, without realizing that all these things will happen at once. What is more; there will be continuous thick darkness.

Our imaginations are simply not good enough to comprehend the terrible time coming, when the sun will send extreme heat, the earth will shake and shudder, powerful, hurricane strength winds will blow, all areas adjacent to the ocean or big lakes will be inundated and we won't be able to see our hands in front of our face.

Friends, my aim and object in all of this is to make at least some people aware of what is coming. What we have been told by God, but most prefer to ignore.
Knowing what it is that is happening, it IS the Lord's doing, will be a great consolation to every faithful Christian. For we know He is destroying His [and our] enemies.
He has promised us His protection and the amazing example of how He will do it is in Daniel 3:19-27.

What we can understand from the above Bible passages, is that the Day of the Lord, when the Son of Man takes action, is not Jesus’ Return as the Word of God, for the Millennium reign. At the Return: ‘all will see Him’, not as in this Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, where He is not seen: Psalms 18:11, Luke 3:17, but ‘His glory will be revealed to all believers’. 2 Thessalonians 1:10

God promised to ‘never again flood the earth’, but He has ‘stored up a fire that will envelope the earth in flames’, a worldwide judgement/punishment, vividly described by all the prophets.
This terrible fire and devastation will come upon the world unexpectedly, ‘While they are saying: All is peaceful, all secure, then destruction is upon them’. 1 Thess. 5:3 Huge numbers will be killed by the fire, earthquakes and the resulting famines afterward. Jeremiah 9:22, Isaiah 34:1-8, Ezekiel 30:2-5
The Lord is not seen on that Day, but His people are saved and protected, [not raptured] Isaiah 30:26b, Isaiah 43:2, Zechariah 9:5-16

Then, as in Ezekiel 20:33-38...by My outpoured wrath, [The Day of wrath] I shall bring you out of the nations and gather you back to Israel. The Lord is: ‘Waiting to show you His favour’, and to bless His true believing people as they fulfill the promises to the Patriarchs and their destiny: ‘to be a light to the nations’. The Word of God [the Bible] tells us that He is the Creator of all things. He has the ability to do anything that he chooses. He made the earth and set humans upon it.

It’s been nearly 2000 years since the last time we were given Divine instructions, that is: as written in the Bible. Since then, people have mostly pursued their own interests, worshipping false gods, promoting evolution and denying the existence of their Creator.

We are told that thousands of years ago people were in a similar situation, having degenerated into apostasy and sin. Only one righteous man and his family were kept alive as God destroyed all the rest by a worldwide flood. Jesus predicted that ‘once again it will be as in the days of Noah’ and when He comes again, we should be prepared. Matthew 24:37-44

The Creator God ‘reset civilization’ in Noah’s day and now we are facing the same judgement. God promised after the Flood, to never again use water or wipe out life so completely. Genesis 9:11
But in Deuteronomy 32:22 & 34-35, He tells us of a terrible fire punishment stored up for His enemies, on their Day of Doom. Isaiah 54:9-10

There are many descriptions in the prophesies of this sudden and devastating worldwide Day of fire and earthquakes, most are either ignored or allegorized because people cannot see any literal fulfilment. The biggest difficulty that most have, is realizing the difference between the Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath and the Return of Jesus in His glory.

Don't you think this is overdue and the Lord is holding back, to allow as many as possible to come to Him?

Coronal Mass Ejection – C.M.E.

A C.M.E. is an explosion on the sun’s surface, which is the same as a sunspots or solar flares, but are much larger and are an event that can affect the earth quite dramatically. C.M.E.s can release huge quantities of matter and electromagnetic radiation into space. This material is a plasma, consisting primarily of electrons and protons, but also some heavier elements. When you consider that the sun consists of 99.86% of the total amount of matter of the Solar system and the earth could fit into the sun 1,000,000 times, then it’s easy to see how the sun could eject an enormous mass.
C.M.E.s are caused by ‘magnetic reconnection’.- Scientific jargon for a gap opening in the sun’s magnetic field. These events tend to happen in 11 year cycles.

A small C.M.E. hit the earth in 1859, that destroyed telegraph systems. Another smaller one affected the Quebec area of Canada, and shut down the electric grid. Also many cases of health problems were reported.

NASA have sent into space, two satellites on the same orbit track as the earth, but one quarter of the orbital distance away from earth, in both directions. Called STEREO. This allows them to view both sides of the sun, from earths front on view. So, their purpose is to give warning of solar activity, which is actually difficult to detect, looking directly at the sun.

The radiation [light, and shorter waves] arrive to earth in 8 minutes. Then the main mass takes 40 to 60 hours to hit. It all depends, of course, whether a C.M.E. is aimed at the earth. Really, it must be very bad luck – or God’s purpose- for a direct hit, as there is every other direction for it to go. Isaiah 34:5, Psalms 50:1-3, Jeremiah 30:23-24, Psalms 114:5-6, Isaiah 30:25-30

It is difficult to find much information about the effects of a large C.M.E. This may be because of huge variables involved in such an event.

Some results may be:
1/ Electrical transformers are grounded to earth. Thus, geomagnetically induced direct current, flowing up the ground wires, causes high temperatures and vaporizes the coolants, literally frying the transformer. No more power supply for a looong time.

2/ Satellites facing the sun will be disabled and the plasma wave will drive them to crash to earth.

3/ Telecommunications, internet and radio will be wiped out.

4/ Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and tsunamis.

5/ Extreme weather events. Powerful storms.

6/ High temperature and radiation pulses. City and forest fires – anyone caught in the open may be killed. Those with heart pacemakers will die. Temperatures above 50o C will melt bitumen. Roads may catch fire, houses with flat roofs, too.

7/ Most vehicles and transportation will become inoperable.

Our difference is that I believe, supported by scripture; the forthcoming attack on Israel is the next event; the Sixth Seal and Daniel 11:36-45 will happen during the last 3 1/2 years before Jesus Returns.
