  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, what would you like to know?

Do you find it biblical?
The part about the body being out numbered by the soul and spirit so it must obey and heal itself. Jesus said the sick need a physician??
Thanks

When He said the sick need a physician, who do you think Jesus thought should be there physician?

Yes, it is very biblical. The body must obey when the soul and spirit are in agreement.
Would it surprise you to know that I have not had anything more than one 24 hour flu in the last 10 years?

Matthew 9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Luke 5:31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.

And if Jesus is the Great Physician, and He is, Exodus 15:26, and our spirit is one with His, and it is, 1 Corinthians 6:17, then if our soul is in agreement, the body will be healed.

Nice thought, but not at all biblical. Were it so I would not have to endure my chronic disease, fibromyalgia, nor, might I add, would my very devout Christian grandparents and aunt and uncle ever gotten sick (which they did as they got older) much less died (which they did). The wages of sin is death.

Do you believe the Scripture?
Proverbs 4:20-22 says that if we keep the Word in the midst of our heart it will be life to us and health to all our flesh.

I have not been sick for about 10 years ever since I got hold of this truth.
If you don't believe a Scripture, it will not be effective for you.

Even Paul had his thorn in the flesh (II Corinthians 12:7Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.)
