Okay, so I'm a single mother and I was in a relationship for ten years but that's over now. I never needed to touch before because I was always taken care of in that department but now I'm not. I've heard some people say its a sin and some say it isn't as long as I'm not watching porn or anything like that. I just don't want curses to fall upon me and my kids if I touch. It's just I have no intentions of being with anyone anytime soon so what do I do until then if masturbating is a sin? Please tell me what yal think.
It's perfectly fine as long as you genuinely need release and aren't making excuses to do it. Don't do it because you're bored, lonely, or even because it feels good. If you're doing it in response to sexually arousing material on the internet or tv, turn all that off and step away for a few minutes to clear your head. Also, if you're easily able to distract yourself from the need, you obviously don't need to touch that badly, so don't do it. If you don't hold off until you're really needing it, you run the risk of addiction and porn and other deviant behaviour that's far worse than simple masturbation ever could be.
But once you're sure the body really does need release, go at it at all you want and enjoy it so you can get on with the rest of your day.
