There are several reasons why persons become involved in homosexuality. These reasons include:​

1. Sexual, physical and other types of abuse - Oftentimes when one looks into the background of those who are in homosexual relationships they have endured sexual or other types of abuse especially at a young age.


2. Looking for emotional support from the same sex. This is where persons gravitate towards persons from the same sex because of an emotional or other need they may not feel that they are getting from the opposite sex


3. The effects of chemicals on the human body. This is where more people are coming into contact with chemicals in their environment, food, medication, drink, etc which affects them biologically, emotionally, mentally, oftentimes in ways persons are not aware of. For example, because of chemicals in water there are reports of male fish turning into female fishes


4. Pornography - Pornography has shaped the way that people has approached sex. Different types of sexual practices have become popular often as a result of pornographic videos. This is where some persons wants to get a sexual high so to speak and believe that certain practices will give them that sexual high they see in pornographic videos.


5. Homosexuality has become popular, a fad. This is where one way of getting into the "it" crowd is by being involved in homosexual behaviors. Oftentimes people are rewarded financially and otherwise if they are involved in homosexual practices or relationships or support them. The more someone is involved in homosexuality the more opportunities are open to them now more than ever, and the more positive attention they will get


6. When parents fail to care, to love their children, to pay enough attention to them, their children ended up looking for love and acceptance from elsewhere whether from the opposite sex, or the same sex, or both.

The education system, primary schools, prep schools, high schools, colleges, and universities are being used by pro homosexual persons to change the views of young people into accepting homosexuality as natural, normal and acceptable whether overtly or covertly or both. It is deemed that the more pro homosexual, the more liberal you are, the smarter or intelligent you are.


9. People are rewarded for their liberal views. How many persons in the media, and in other occupations, in churches, have liberal views, and how much of these persons with liberal views are promoted and rewarded to top positions of power simply because of their views? How many of them use their position to support homosexuality overtly and covertly? How many use their power and influence to change the way the public thinks about homosexuality? Many.

Sexual identity isn't something that people are born with. It develops during the early years of life. Infants are not capable of understanding abstract concepts such as gender. They also have no understanding of sexual function.

A solid sexual identity does not fully develop until children are between the ages of 6-7 years old. Until then they don't understand that boys are absolutely male and and girls are absolutely female. Children who express this sooner than these ages have been taught socially to associate to the sex they are told they are and are simply parroting what they have heard and been told. Children will also imitate their same sex parent in an effort to compete with them for affection from their opposite sex parent. They don't understand why they do this. It is an internal drive and has nothing to do with an understanding or acceptance of their gender because they are not cognitively capable of really understanding these things yet.

Until then they don't understand that boys are absolutely male and and girls are absolutely female.

Everyone knows that we have both male and female hormones and our personalities are a blend of both aspects of the extremes. Even genetic blending is at a predictable and researchable percentage of the population. Sociologists consider gender to be a spectrum, not any distinct classes. A person's personality is not tied to their reproductive roles just as you state.

Excuse me? I am a Christian (non denominational) and I will go where I want on this forum.

I do not disagree with what the bible is saying at all. Just like how persons sometimes have multiple sex partners because they are searching for love in the wrong places, there are persons also who engage in homosexuality because they are searching for love in the wrong places, because of abuse etc Jesus Christ knows this, and as a result he is leading people with this issue and others with deep emotional issues to repentance and healing.

I made up nothing to support an agenda. When people share, speak especially of their personal experiences or struggles I listen and try to learn all I can.

there is absolutely nothing to support this. Gay men are no more likely to have been sexually abused as a child than straight men. and for both it is something that happens to just a small percentage. the same holds true of women.

If you are going to try to use this as a "reason" some people are homosexual you are left trying to explain:
1 )why the majority of men who were sexually abused as children are not themselves homosexual
2 ) why the majority of homosexuals have no history of childhood abuse

The FBI estimates that less than 0.001% of all anti-gay hate crimes are ever reported. that entails millions of violent attacks on LGBT individuals. Are you counting this as a "reward"

more than half of all homeless minors are homosexual. that means that right now there are over 2 million LGBT kids living alone on the street. I can tell you from years of working with these youths that they are homeless because withe their loving parents threw them out of the home or the kids ran because of the violence their parents were inflicting on them.

Less than 10 years ago I was forced to accept the truth that I was sexually abused by both males and females even though I had no memory of it.

A few years ago, at the high school I attended news broke out that younger female students were sexually abused and assaulted by older female students. They were held down and sexually assaulted.

Recently God showed me being unconscious in that same high school I attended and I was being sexually abused by 3 females. I am not sure when this occurred.

These types of situations have been occurring all my life unknown to me for the most part because I have been used in human trafficking from a baby.

Oftentimes I am vulnerable, because I am drugged and have Dissociative Identity Disorder. As a result people take advantage of this.

I know what abuse is all about and it messes you up. Through all this, Jesus Christ have never left me. He has been with me from day one until now, helping me to cope with what have happened in my life.

Even before knowing what had happened in my live, for some reason when people spoke about what has gone on in their life, I was always listening, seeking to understand, trying to understand the world around me, trying to understand why people did what they did and what people have been through.

I am truly sorry and very grieved over what has happened to you. I pray that God is able to give you comfort, healing, and wholeness. What you have experienced is NOT normal, even for homosexuals. Most *people* in general do not have these experiences or endure this level of abuse, regardless of their sexual orientation. Please seek out some good, professional counselors if you haven't already done so and let them help you (And don't be afraid to seek out new ones if you aren't getting the help you need.)
