"SilverBear, post: 72981569, member: 390533": there is absolutely nothing to support this. Gay men are no more likely to have been sexually abused as a child than straight men.

This is a demonstrably false statement , well-documented prior to the current hysteria promoting this behavior took control.

"In research with 942 nonclinical adult participants, gay men and lesbian women reported a significantly higher rate of childhood molestation than did heterosexual men and women. Forty-six percent of the homosexual men in contrast to 7% of the heterosexual men reported homosexual molestation."

this is what happens when you just read an abstract of a study and not the study itself. you miss the methodology and you miss the author's notation and in this case that was huge.

First the survey the researchers provided to the study participants did not ask if they had experienced child sexual abuse or if they were molested. the participants were asked if they "had any sexual contact" Ref: comparative data of childhood and adolescence molestation in heterosexual and homosexual persons page 538

Further the median age of the heterosexual men reporting sexual contact with someone of the same sex was 8. The median age of the heterosexual men reporting sexual contact with someone of the same sex was 16.
