There was a buddhist living in my house before.

Me? I read alot about the occult, but i never done any ritual or stuff.

Dude that gives me chills. When my wife and I were looking at houses 5 years ago, we looked at one and the people living there had Buddhist artifacts all over their home. I declined the house mainly because of that. I felt the dark essence everywhere.

Well, there you go. That's the problem. You are opening the door to allow demons and Satan to nest with you. You could burn those books, buy a bible(KJV) and ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and make his home with you.

Was that an evil spirit or just feeling unnerved by something foreign? I think the latter is much more likely.

This is what I mean by being drawn into a dangerous worldview that sees the supernatural at work everywhere, instead of looking for more mundane explanations first.

Well whichever, I had bad vibes the moment I saw it. Take it for what it is.

The right attitude to bring into such a situation is that something psychological and/or otherwise natural is going on. Since it is reasonably light objects that are allegedly being tossed about, perhaps the true culprit is neither God nor Satan but wind.
Ditto with the Catholic attitude
Hear hoof beats, think horse not zebras.
That is the attitude that the Catholic Church brings to the situation.

Good advice. The Catholic Church is old enough it has experience with the dangers of magical thinking getting out of control.

I've never heard of any kind of exorcism or cleansing by Catholics other than the portrayed Hollywood versions where it is more of a ritual than real deliverance and healing.

They have a long history of investigating bread bags and shampoo bottles flying across the room?
Excuse me for being straight, but what's your deal? Do you not believe in demonic spirits/the supernatural?

They still conduct exorcisms to this day, but there are procedures to make sure that it is not being abused. It also is far more than simply using a ritual. The form of the ritual is the least important part of exorcism.

Their expertise is in that sort of discernment.

I have known people harmed by being the object of exorcisms where the person has obvious psychological problems. It can result in stigma and shame where they may simply be the victims of abuse or mental illness. Depression, Schizophrenia or Dissociate Identity Disorder can create a state of mind that might appear to be "demonic" when it isn't, for instance.

I love the topic, it’s fun, but as far as my measuring rod to believe an individual account of PROOF that the supernatural took place VS my general beliefs in the possibility of the supernatural, they are worlds apart.

I guess I should save my posts on this matter for a thread that’s a general discussion on the topic, instead on one that claims to be a cry for help on the matter. I was about to make a huge post on some of my general thoughts of the supernatural, I’ll save that for another place.
If you are saying that you don't believe that this is possible, then you are deceived. However, this is Satan's plan, to 1/ make us believe that he doesn't exist and 2/ make us believe that God doesn't exist either.

This stuff is true.... I hope you never find out by having personal experiences.

I grew up in a house with ghosts and we’ve just discovered that our current house is haunted. Since I suspect you aren’t into the solutions I’d provide, simply ignore it.
Sometimes the entity cannot be simply ignored.
Oh, and by the way, these are always evil. They may pretend not to be... but no righteous spirit or angel or whatever is going to waste it's time dwelling in a house and doing nothing for the Lord.

Gods army is busy all the time and does not have time to just loiter in some earthly house, idle.

Agree. It beggars credulity to think the claim in the OP is serious.
Seriously? If you don't believe that this stuff can be real..... you are asleep.

Again, I hope that you never experience it first hand.

I don't know a lot of people and I still know a handful that have had things like this go on.

An ex girlfriend and her gang started dabbling with a Oiji board. (never do this). When she went to their house, she would get an excruciating head ache that would instantly subside when the she used the devil board. The spirit in the board liked her and motivated her with pain, to play.
My buddy who is an alcoholic would come there too and the board would not work when he played drunk. Spirits do not like a foggy mind, I guess.

They are real and not all are Catholic. A pastor that spoke at our church has done them. You just don't hear about it much in the non-catholic world and Hollywood always portrays a priest and the crucifix, Holy water and such.. non of which are needed or have any power. They are idols.

You only need faith and the name of Jesus.

The Pastor that I speak of stated that he dealt with one possessed woman where her face totally changed. Said it scared him but God was there and His power was evident. The spirit had to leave.
