Dream Last Night

I had a very vivid dream last night. I have been praying and trying to listen to God more, and actually fell asleep with this prayer last night.

In the dream, I was in the back seat of a car, my Aunt was driving and someone was in the front passenger seat. It was a beautiful drive, but ahead we saw very thick black (and I mean black) clouds forming over the road in seconds. We could see flashes of lightning in the clouds. They moved down over the roads and rushed towards the car and surrounded it. I remember thinking would my Aunt slow down, I don't know if she did. We couldn't see a thing - and in the dream I prayed to Jesus for help. The cloud thinned and then I woke up.

This was so vivid - I don't normally have dreams like this. I know God speaks through dreams and visions, could this be one? If so, what does it mean? Or, is it just a vivid dream? I have never actually been in a car with my aunt driving.

Any advice or suggestions?

Its a vivid dream. You said yourself that this had been on your mind recently, so your mind was working with those thoughts.

Most of my dreams, including some quite vivid ones, involve locations that are completely new to me. They seem very real and clear, but they're imaginary, and I know this because some of them are, in the dream, attached to places that I do know.

Your "aunt" in this dream may actually be another sister in the Lord, someone older than you, and the one in the passenger seat may be someone she is in partnership with in ministry. The "road" would be the current path you are traveling down or will be soon.

Tell me, are you engaging in any type of spiritual warfare lately? For some reason the enemy will attack you, but through prayer (presumably) this attack will be beaten back. The black clouds "rushing towards" and surrounding the "car" are strongly suggestive of a spiritual attack, to her ministry itself, and you wondering if she will slow down is a reference to wondering if she will relent in her aggressions against the kingdom of darkness (whatever is setting them off). She will not, sounds like, so you will need to be prepared for a bit of a scary ride with her, whoever this person is.

The good news is that the cloud dissipates, which means the enemy is made to flee.

I posted a prayer request a few weeks ago for a friend who sees and hears spirits. It turns out that a friend is a trained spiritualist medium (this is new news to us - we found out a week ago) and she has offered to train him. I've been pleading with God - if he can hear spirits, he can hear the Holy Spirit too. So I have been asking Jesus to reveal himself to him.

I have a friend at Church who knows more about this, and I confided in her - we are both praying. She is a little older than me. Could it be that the person in the passenger seat is my friend?

My worry here is that my friend is having a hard time spiritually - she literally just texted me about it. If this interpretation is correct, we need lots of prayer. I know Jesus is stronger than anything the enemy can throw my way - but it's scary.

One last thing, Don. The more you pray, the more the Power and Boldness of the Spirit of God will come upon you and strengthen you to rise up in courage instead of fear. So instead of letting your head run, just give yourself to praying whenever the matter crosses your mind. You will gain great Empowerment from it.
