Well, we cannot prove the laser experiment either at the moment. What can you do to prove your case? How about this. Create animated gif images from clips within a YouTube video of your proof of the boats (Which are half disappeared below the horizon line) which then suddenly and magically re-appear in full view by simply zooming in on them.

You can go to gifs.com | Animated Gif Maker and Gif Editor to create gif images of certain segments of youtube videos.

You cannot cheat by having the boats in super wavy water and you cannot cheat by having the boats sitting on top of the horizon line already. You have to choose boats that are already half gone down into the horizon line.

I am not a FE'er. I am investigating both models and understand them or am trying to learn.

The sun cannot possibly be "visible" and not illuminate the area. It goes so far away that it is no longer visible and, due to perspective, sets.

If you look on the net, you will see videos of the sun setting that show the track of an arc... How does this happen on a globe that is spinning?

Fair enough JB, I looked at it too with an open mind but shouldn't we be able to see England or at least send a powerful enough lazer to register ? Also in the ships videos what was the time elapse , speed , current, tide rising or receding , the tide can move pretty quick considering 2 highs and 2 lows in less than 24 hrs .. And I'm sure you've watched for sunrise , there's no shortage of light at the first glimmer .. And just curious, would the Coriolis force be in affect the way we see it if not hemispheres/sphere . Not saying I know for sure but I don't think so unless Earth is indeed in motion ..

Also, I want to add that real Scientists using the Heliocentric model have accurately predicted the last lunar eclipse in 2017. No Flat Earth model has ever made such predictions and were accurate.

This is because a person is on the opposite side of the globe where things are reversed for them. Star rotation would not be different on the outer edge of a flat disk. It is non-sensical.

Well, that's good that you are looking at things with an open mind. I don't believe that civilians can get their hands on a powerful enough laser to go to England. It would probably hurt people too but IDK.

Also, if you think about it. There is enough dirt, smog and humidity in the air that seeing distances we do know is difficult.. Now imagine trying to see many more times than that. Our atmosphere is just too dense over that many miles with debris and water vapor.

As for the Coriolis effect...This is also curious...

They say that the moment a bullet leaves the barrel, it is under the influence of the spin of the earth and will drift left or right depending on the direction that the bullet is fired.

That's all fine and well.... until you fly a plane. Why is the plane not under the influence of this same force as soon as it leaves the runway? Yes, you have a pilot at the wheel, but even a bullet, if it was able to be guided, would have to have constant correction... But, planes and helicopters are never affected. All the while they travel much farther than any bullet.

As for scientists doing tests to prove the earth was spinning, or moving at all... We can look at Airy's Failure and the Michelson-Morley experiment.. both of which found none. Funny how I never heard of these two experiments when I was in my Lab Technician course or my Mechanical Engineering course. Not only that, but how many people have ever heard of Auguste Piccard?


The only scrap that we have to hold on to is the Facault Pendulum. However, it needs constant input from some force to keep it moving, which can affect it's movement. It has also been shown to move backward during an eclipse, which, to me, proves that it is some other factor that is governing it's movement as the earth doesn't stop spinning and go backward during an eclipse.

I have watched videos on this subject and I have thought about it.... None make sense to me.

Why, if the earth is always spinning one direction, no matter where you stand, why would the stars go in any other direction if we were spinning in space. They should always go east to west. There is no reason for them to go the other way.

I agree and have always stated that truth is not a democracy... However, clinging to something because it is all we have ever known or because one other person has supposedly "debunked" it, is not proper either.

I agree and have always stated that truth is not a democracy... However, clinging to something because it is all we have ever known or because one other person has supposedly "debunked" it, is not proper either.

I am only following the observable evidence and not what is popular. I am not the kind of person who follows things just because they are popular always. I follow where the evidence takes me, whether that be Scriptural evidence or Scientific evidence. I believe in Conditional Salvationism, Conditional Immortality, and New Testament Pacifism (Which are all not popular teachings in the churches today).

Please take note that I do believe in the Trinity, the Incarnation (i.e. the Word was made flesh), and that Jesus is the one and only way to Heaven.

As for testing things with an open mind: Well, would you test to see if the sky is not blue on a clear sunny afternoon day or test to see if rain was not wet if somebody said these things were not true? No. Because you already know by the observable evidence that these facts are true. That is how it is with me when somebody says the Earth is flat. I know by the observable evidence that the Earth is round in MANY ways. What is scary to me is that you cannot see the evidence that proves a round Earth is true. Somehow you have let Flat Earth videos that push un-Science to muddy your thinking. Please watch the 4 part video series in my previous post to you if you are claiming to still keep an open mind. For me, I already checked the evidences on both sides. I know what the Flat Earthers are saying and they keep spreading untruths or things that cannot be proven.

As for videos that debunk the FE or Debunk the globe earth. We could sit here all week and trade off videos with such content..

As for you sticking to "the Scientific observational facts vs. the unfounded guesses", can we toss out the whole FE idea and take a look at Scientific observational facts.

I have seen, myself, on a small lake that is 11 miles long, that I can see things that should be hidden by the curve... winter and summer. I was, in fact, surprised to find that the rate of curvature is calculated quite easily and is a very rapid curve... 8 inches in a mile.

With a little digging, you can find solid evidence of this fact. The one that shows physical objects, well within sight, in all kinds of places on this earth, when they should be well hidden by the curve.

That was my biggest observation that got me searching and suggested to me that something is wrong with the earth model as they present it to us.

Second.... is the corpuscular rays of the sun that splay out in a fan type pattern. My question is how does this happen if the sun is 93,000,000 miles away and all of it's rays should be parallel when they strike the earth. The phenomenon of these images below suggest something different is at work.

Now, I understand that the ones coming toward us can be explained by perspective. However these are splayed out in all directions.

Other things that are simple and observable scientific facts are those I have already mentioned. These being the sun up while the moon is in total shadow of the earth and the shadow of the moon during a solar eclipse moving from west to east and being smaller than the actual moon itself..

There are others but I think you get my point... Toss out the idea of a Flat earth if you must, but our Heliocentric globe model is seriously broken.... just by simply looking at it.

Look. You can contact many people in these hemispheres by Skype (not telling them your intentions of whether you believe in a round or flat Earth), and ask them to capture video footage for you (with them in it) that shows the constellations over a lengthy period of time for you to see the stars to rotate if you speed up the footage. I guarantee that they would have no agenda. Especially if you were to ask a bunch of them to do so on your behalf. You can currently see videos on YouTube for this and save yourself the trouble; But that false Flat Earther conspiracy theory mindset might kick to make you doubt regular people (Who do not even think about these kinds of discussions). If this is the case, then talk to a bunch of people by face chat in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres and ask them to record footage for you after you get to befriend them.

Because one vantage point is on top of the ball and one vantage point is underneath the ball. Take two stuffed animals and bend their heads back with tape, two cameras (or smart phones) and tape them to two opposite ends of each other on a beach ball. Now spin the beach ball and record the cameras and let the little stuffed animals have a nice ride. Look at the footage from both cameras or smart phones and you will see the rotation of spin is the opposite of the other. The stuffed animal on top of the beach ball will see the spin differently than the stuffed animal on the bottom of the beach ball as it spins.

There is actually a more simpler way to check this without using this method if you like. I just did it while I was on bathroom break. Try spinning while you stand (either on ice or with your own two feet on the ground).

Take one of your hands and point to the direction of where you are going to spin while you are on your two feet.

Look up at the ceiling (as you spin).

and visualize an imaginary clock on the ceiling above you as you spin.

Keep your hand pointing in the direction of the spin as you do this. Do you notice the imaginary clock spinning clock wise or counter clock wise?

Make a mental note to yourself if you see that the direction of your spin matches the hands of an analog clock going forward or backwards.

Now, look down:

Keep your hand in the same direction pointing (where you kept the same spin of direction from before):

Now star spinning on your two feet again or spin while you ice skate:

Important Note: Please keep your hand towards the same direction you pointed from the previous spin.

Now, imagine an imaginary analog clock at your feet as you spin.

Does the hands of the clock move clock wise or counter clock wise as you spin in the same direction as when you looked up at the ceiling?

If you did the experiment correctly, you will notice that the hands of the imaginary clock in your mind on the ceiling would be different than when you looked down at your imaginary analog clock on the ground.

This is the same reason why stars spin in different directions when looking at them in the Northern hemisphere vs. the Southern hemisphere.

Oh my. Really? These are just clouds getting in the way of the light rays that come from our sun in space. The CLOUDS is what refracts the light in different directions. Think crystals or gemstones. They can hold light, too and shine it out. That is what these clouds are doing.

In fact, even Flat Earthers have sent up weather balloons into space and can see a light upon the Earth (Which is from above). So there is no sun inside the clouds (if that is what you believe).

Please do not take this the wrong way, but I honestly do not think you were observing things correctly. But that is my opinion. You would have to show proof that your observations match up with real Science. Record it with your smart phone your observations. Upload the footage to YouTube and then make animated Gif images from your youtube video of the key points of your study that shows the proof (So we can both easily see it on the forums quickly and discuss it here). For people (Especially myself) are not going to sit through and watch long videos if they think it is un-Science.

Actually, in my opinion, the fact that we all see one side of the moon on the Earth is proof that the Earth is not flat. If the moon rotated just above us on the Earth on a flat disk in a circle pattern (according to FE's), then different parts of the world would be able to see the different sides of the moon. But this is not what we observe. Hence, why the Flat Earth moon theories from Flat Earth theorists is just more un-Science.
