I stated that it was the distance in miles,squared, times 8 inches.

Therefore two six foot men, standing on a frozen lake should not be able to see each other if they were 3 miles apart. Or the salt flats in Utah or Bolivia..

This is completely incorrect. You don't seem to understand the geometry of the earth.

(1) the earth is (approximately) spherical, not paraboloid

(2) over 3 miles the "spherical bulge" is about 18 inches

(3) you're not allowing for the height of eyes above the ground

If you can't work it out from a diagram, there are online calculators that will do it

Why hasn't a single flat Earther ever taken a photo of any kind of the "edge" of the flat Earth. There are precisely ZERO images of this, and it wouldn't even take a satellite to prove it. simply fly, sail or walk to the "edge" and take a photo.
