So, apparently cnn is encouraging their readers to flag InfoWars videos in a wink-wink nudge-nudge sort of wsy to try and get them taken off youtube.

It looks to me like CNN told Colton that the REWRITTEN question was his original. Colton didn't fall for the Jedi mind trick since he could clearly see that CNN had more than doubled the number of words in his question and "scripted" it out for him.

The question itself was exactly the same question that Colton wrote in his email. After speaking to Colton on the phone there was an introductory sentence added before the question. Do you think that CNN added the intro line and that is what the father and Colton are saying was scripted?

Although cnn is probably telling the truth here, they still manufacture everything they do by loading the audiences, loading the panels, loading the topics, and loading the discussions.

Any time cnn has a panel of any kind, the people are going to be carefully selected for whatever they want to portray the group as. They will also be heavily edited to shape the "conversation." Take for example the group of Hillary voters that they had on after the election. Someone later leaked some of the stuff that they cut out, like the voters admitting that the DNC was unethical.

Most of the major networks do it, but CNN’s become as incompetent at it as CBS was back in the 90s.

Isn't it amazing how Dana Loesch, the NRA and their supporters are murderers, and yet it's pretty obvious who the real murderer is, and yet the Left doesn't seem to be interested in him. His name is Nicholas Cruz. Yet all we hear about is Dana Loesch, Wayne LaPierre, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, etc.

CNN also selected only the single question they wanted to discuss ... and discarded Colton's other questions ... even though they apparently had invited Colton to speak on the subject and to ask questions.

It is my understanding from the emails that Colton chose which question to ask when they spoke with him on the phone. Maybe some of his questions were already being asked by other kids.
Another thing to think about is that they had others wanting to ask questions and they would need to try to get all of the issues covered.
If you are going to have a debate or an informative conversation then there is the necessity to say just what they said, one question per person and to make sure that everyone has a Different question to ask.
10 people, 10 different questions to cover as many issues as possible. Not the same question worded in a different way.

They used children too when Obamacare was being repealed. Every night on the news I'd hear stories about how many children would lose their healthcare if Obamacare was repealed, even though they wouldn't "lose" it at all, but their parents would simply get to choose whether to have it or not without being penalized if they don't.

It's all nothing more than a tactic to use against "emotional" people to get them on their side, to fool them into thinking they have empathy when in reality then have none.

CNN doing that shows just how corrupt they are, and that any future allegations against them don't need to be supported by evidence, as we all know that lying once means that one is always lying (except if the person lying is a Republican, of course).

Yet those who swarm and attack CNN on this topic feel that their criticism is still justified, because of their past and overall bias.

No, what I have is a problem with people who seem to be obsessed over CNNs inaccuracies, yet simultaneously give a pass to the multitudes of inaccuracies from sources they align with. It seems as if the problem they have with CNN is ideological, not simply a result of CNNs (along with pretty much every other media outlet) failure to get the facts right every time (or even close).

I'm certainly skeptical of CNN and their reporting. But i'm more skeptical of the claims of people who repeatedly go on and on about how CNN is "fake news" while putting forth articles from Breitbart, the DailyCaller, and the like.

Again, were you on the call? How do you know that anything other than the first question was discussed over the phone? And I'll point out that inviting someone to an event does not mean that they get to dictate the number of questions or length of their speech.

This all comes down to a game of he-said-she-said, and neither side has really show that they're trustworthy - CNN by history, and the Haabs by doctoring the text of the emails. Either one could be telling the truth, but the reality is probably somewhere in the middle.

Is CNN a biased outlet? Absolutely.
Do they misrepresent things to align with their narrative (just as other outlets such as FoxNews does)? Absolutely.

Fair enough, but I think part of it is just how much CNN, NYT, etc. are touted as THE reliable news sources to follow, and so people get caught up in trash posting against them.
