...still trying to make this about President Obama I see.
tulc(guesses this must be a particularly hard one to find some way to defend President Trump) :sorry:

In the political world people always look at the president's predecessor to measure the success of the current president. That's why when Obama was president people always mentioned Bush. This is just the game that is played as the current president will always try to out due his predecessor. Most presidents always follow in the footsteps of their predecessor as they try to make policies to make themselves seem different then that of the last president.

Even tho through the politics they usually get along with each other.

...are you saying President Trumps supporters bring up President Obama so much is because they like him more then President Trump?
tulc(would point out this thread is still not about President Obama even if the Republicans do like him more then President Trump) :sorry:

You miss the point. It's not that they like Obama better cause they don't. But to measure the success of a current president in the political world you have to measure with the past president. So if people want to bring up Obama as a way to measure Trump either doing worse or better that's fully alright. When Obama was president people talked about Bush, when Bush was president people talked about Clinton it's just the way politics works.

Personally I try to keep it on the person we are discussing and not try to shift blame but at the same time I know how politics work.

No you're thinking of President Trump, he's the one who likes taking credit for what other people do. I prefer to take the blame/credit for what I do.
tulc(is glad he can clear that up for Root of Jesse)

You'll have to point out where President Trump has taken credit for what anyone outside of his administration has done. Therefore, you haven't cleared up anything.

If this thread was about that you would have a point, since it isn't I don't really think I need to.
tulc(thinks if Root of Jesse would like to start a thread about President Trump doing that people can respond there)

Well, you were the one that brought it up. It's just like Democrats to claim something, and never, never back it up with facts.

Then it shouldn't come as a surprise. Much like some Republicans can't seem to discuss...well almost anything now a days...they can't seem to find a way to defend President Trump except by attacking someone else and trying to make the discussion about that instead of whatever "The Face Of the Republican Party" has done.
tulc(wonders if the "The Party of Deflect" might not be a better slogan for some Republicans?)

No, that would be the Democrats, based on interviews I've watched. On a given day they cannot answer such simple questions as "How many aliens should the US allow in every year?". And I defend President Trump all the time based on his merits, of which there are many.

You mean like when Obama was president the Democrats talked only about Bush, when Bush was president Republicans talked about Clinton? People will always judge you as president based on that of your predecessor. Sorry you are having a hard time with this.

Besides every time someone does list accomplishments or anything pro-Trump you always dismiss it. So really who is having a hard time with a honest discussion.

The irony of both these posts bringing up someone else is in a discussion about President Trump is (I suspect) completely lost on you guys? :sorry:

Do you mean someone who doesn't agree with everything listed by one Party as an "accomplishment" is actually an accomplishment? That is shocking!
tulc(wonders who could have seen that coming?)

You mean like you did when Obama won and someone made a thread "How did Obama win?" (December 08) Instead of discussing how Obama won or anything relating to Obama you said "Under Bush everyone suffered". It seems you like pointing out to keep the discussion on the president at hand and not on his predecessor only when it benefits you.

There are plenty of accomplishments I am sure you could list one. As I could list some from past administrations both Republicans and Democrats as nobody is all bad. But when you focus on only the negatives your bias creeps in as you only focus on that that feeds in to your biased outlook in life instead of taking everything in. Both parties can not deny that Trump has done some great things since becoming president.

hmmm still talking about President Obama in a thread about President Trump I see. :D

If I remember correctly I did make a list of the things I thought President Trump had accomplished. But no one seemed to care for it. :sorry:

As I could list some from past administrations both Republicans and Democrats as nobody is all bad.
OK...I've yet to see you compare President Trump to President Obama in any of these threads where you've then said "And President Obama was better then President Trump in..."X" " When that happens I'd like to see what it is.

But when you focus on only the negatives your bias creeps in as you only focus on that that feeds in to your biased outlook in life instead of taking everything in.
When/if President Trump ever does something I see as a positive how about if I post that then? But until then I'm just going to have to post about what I think needs to be posted. :sigh:

Both parties can not deny that Trump has done some great things since becoming president.
I do deny it and will continue to deny it until he actually does any "great things".

No, I was pointing out that two posts bringing up President Obama in defense of them bringing up President Obama when trying to divert the conversation away from President Trump is (IHHO) pretty ironic.

Well, we Democrats do tend to understand that the reason there's more then one political party in America is because people sometimes don't agree with other peoples opinions of what a government should be about. :)
tulc(suspects that's one of the reasons he left the Republican Party all those years ago) ;)

As I said when Obama won you were still focused on Bush. Today you want us to focus on Trump and not the predecessor Obama thats hypocrisy as you did so when Obama was president.

I gave a few articles of lists of accomplishments and to say that not even one of them is a accomplishment is just not honest. But I will wait till more accomplishments happen and see if you ever acknowledge them.

Hope the snow storm is not that bad. Have a wonderful day.

Yes I think every party understands that. But most political parties always believes they are the best and the other parties are delusional or racist.
