CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's not to love?
Three booster cores launching a rocket and then returning to land. Two back at the Cape and the centre core on an autonomous droneship in the ocean. That's not the best of it. The payload for this test flight is Elon Musk's Tesla car and its radio will be playing David Bowie's Space Oddity and put in to orbit around Mars.
Seriously. What a time to be alive.

Why do my boxers advertise that they kill odors?I mean after taco night I know for a fact they dont stop certain.... umm.....pollutants shall we say from stinkin..... so........ what gives?
Are people just not washing and need to kill off a constant odor that is offensive enough to need "odor blocking underwear" but arent strong enough to beat gases and Im just a clean person.... or what?
I mean if it can turn my natural gases into smelling like roses or something.... awesome but thats not the case so.... I am at a loss for its purpose......"FRESH IQ" WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?!!!!!
Sorry, but yes that actually was on my mind..... its a scary place up here....

It seems to me that the main purpose of our time here on earth is to prepare us for eternity. No one is promised a good time here on earth... in fact we are promised troubles.
But the Bible speaks of God testing us and purifying us. To what end? The next life is the pleasurable and fulfilling one, not this. But God wants people who share His Spirit and His will.
We know this earth will be destroyed, as will these bodies we currently have. What survives is our spirits... that is what God is developing. And for some of us, no doubt, He can develop us best through physical pain and disability. It didn’t have to be this way, but we transgressed. Still, for us Christians, this world is the closest thing to hell we will ever know. And thank the Lord for that.
I’m reminded of something CS Lewis wrote... I forget where he wrote it, but he said that we are all affected by these bodies we are stuck in; we will not really see each other for who we truly are until we are free of them. And at that time, there will be surprises.

But still...there are others who blind post as well. It's pretty frustrating trying to construct thoughtful responses to someone's thread and then have them close it right out from under you. It happens relatively often too.

On the way home earlier in the car, one is always greatly tempted to sing aloud when A-ha's "Take On Me" plays. ... Dang good song. Sure the 80's decade had its share of suckage just like any other, but still, overall the 80's were a good time to be alive.
