  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Immigrants take over California.

No answer then. Not surprising.

When you use strawmen, don't expect them to be taken seriously.

I was never on the planning team. Not high enough of a security clearance.

Then you don't really know anything worth discussing, do you? What then are you celebrating?

I'm still waiting for an answer to my question about whether you're really concerned about the wall not being already built.

I didn't realize I was celebrating. But give me a minute....

Ok, I'm done celebrating.

Perhaps if you had asked a legitimate question, and not used So's Law.

I didn't realize I was celebrating. .

If you weren't celebrating, why should I?

Refusing to answer a question just because you don't like the first word of it is just a cop-out. Not to mention a poor excuse.

If you weren't celebrating, why should I?

I celebrated at the end of my post. I'm all celebrated out now. Your turn.

I don't celebrate things (worth celebrating) until after they actually happen. Why do you?

When it comes to politics, every move in the right direction is a call for celebration.

I see a difference between talking and moving. I'll crack open a cold one when the job is done, not before.

Or have we learned nothing?

Let me guess, something is "Bush's fault" again?
In case you haven't heard, the era of Obama's regime has ended.

You guess wrong... again. But I suppose one must remember history before one can learn from it.

I remember it quite well. I've also noticed that Bush hasn't been president for a long time. But if we want to blame the previous administration for everything, then the current stock market drop is Obama's fault, and the "Mission Accomplished" thing was Clinton's fault for dismantling the military during his administration.

Did you notice the lesson that was learned from his "mission accomplished" incident?

let's find out:

But if we want to blame the previous administration for everything,

Clearly you did not learn a lesson from it.

Hint: Google "don't count your chickens..." and see if you can figure it out form there.

California AG: 'We will prosecute' employers who violate sanctuary laws

This is what happens when a state has so many immigrants that they control the political process by sheer number of liberal voters. This warning was sounded years ago in my home state by a Latino school board president who stated publically that in a few years the minority community would get everything it wanted through the vote, as their population would become so great that local politics would be controlled by them and their sympathizers. That day has arrived in California.

Soon Latinos will be a majority, and we will see some changes in the USA. This is inevitable no matter how high the wall you build. We should all hope that these changes will be for the betterment of the country. I think it is likely that they will be.

I agree somewhat. Immigrants will be able to have the country that they desire, that they are unable to have in their native lands. Of course they will then come under the "Franklin Curse";

"We have given you a republic........if you can keep it."

Of course they won't be given it, they will take it by force of the vote. The danger of course is that they will fall prey to their rather corrupt cultural leanings, and America will more resemble the third world countries of their nativity. :(

The reason many Americans want to limit immigration from underdeveloped countries isn't because we don't like the people, but because we fear they will turn America into the same mess that they came from. We have enough problems with our own, we don't need the problems of another country.
