Except the OP isn't about the history of the Republican Party is it? I thought it was about one guy (and a couple of others mentioned by name) liking someone who's been shown to be wrong about American history consistently. So, while you can try and make this about something else I'll just keep pointing out that that doesn't actually address the OP.

That's not very true is it? Since the story you used talks about Brownback only to cast doubt on Republicans as a whole.
