  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Incest porn themes growing rapidly, worrying

First, I don't get off to porn. I looked up most popular/most viewed to get a grasp of what people are watching. What I noticed was Incest themed porn in top 10! most viewed video, some with 50+million views. Honestly I'm in disbelief seeing this be a trend and it deeply concerns me. Is this another sign of an increasing Amoral society? Personally I think this should be illegal as most viewers are probably youths. And the incest taboo is one of the moral pillars that hold society together. This creeps me out. Thoughts?

Maybe it's the nature of pornography, but still I want to puke thinking about this being a popular theme. Should be illegal. If this would ever be accepted like gay right has. It's the end of society and I'm building myself a big boat just like Noah did and getting the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] away.

You look up what type of porn people are watching, but you don't get it at all? Lol.
I just pressed "Most viewed this month" out of curiousity. I should probably stop, cause it's creeping me out.

If you take the time to surf the web, you'll find that there are all kinds of messed up porn like that dreaded "Rule 34 of the Internet" stuff that are far worse than incest.

"Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error."
~Romans 1:24-27

I personally think the porn you see on the internet would qualify as "unnatural lusts" since you have people lusting over cartoon characters from their childhood, anthropomorphic animals, and all kinds of messed up fetishes that would have guaranteed you a place in a mental institution 60 years ago.

I totally agree with you. Another reason this time is so important to hold on to our beliefs and not be led astray. Your quote "For unbelievers, this life is the only heaven they will ever know. For believers, this life is the only hell they will ever know." Is true. Yet this life can be heaven with the knowledge of what comes. I used to be a Christian to recieve gifts in this life. Then i realised that the gift is knowing what comes if you stay a believer and follow jesus.

What is the biggest argument against the unnatural lusts of today? They were born that way, ie. God made them that way.
I don't think God makes children any different than He did in any other part of history.
I think the next thing excused by the world and "progressives" will be beastiality, after all, they were born that way, right.

The thing is that we didn't have pornography in earlier parts of history. And it's shaping how teenagers are percieving sexuality. We humans are forming our own environment to some degree and we have the responsibility to do so with a guiding morality and I don't think letting teenagers having access to pornography from early age is respecting the responsibility God gave us.
God made us the way we are, but he also gave us salvation.

You are right, the things people are exposed to now are vastly different. But I don't think it changes the way God sees it.
And we do need to protect young people from it.

Really? Have you ever seen the frescoes of ancient Rome? The sculptures of ancient India? The hieroglyphs of bronze age Egypt?
And it's shaping how teenagers are percieving sexuality.
Since we do not allow or encourage teen-age marriage, this has flooded in to fill the void. They (we) sense a huge lack as the body becomes adult but not allowed to express that adulthood. The developing sexuality has nothing to shape itself with or against.
