Pet Peeves

I'm trying to work on it, but a big pet peeve with me is snobbery - people acting like they're too good to associate with you for no particular reason (or really dumb reasons). It's especially irritating to see this behavior among middle-aged adults such as myself. (Hey, I though we were through with high school ages ago!)


Also, people who will make assumptions about other people without even getting to know them has always bothered me.

Bullying upsets me greatly, too (having been bullied myself as a kid). Especially when it's over something someone can't help (and even if that's not the case, there's never any excuse to bully anyone).

My bed should be a place of safety and relaxation. But so often the kids see it as a place to fart around and get our big fun-loving dog excited - while I'm in it, trying to relax before bed. I yell at them every time, and they still do it! Generally they are respectful any other time, even the dog is respectful. But there is something about the bed, and I am about to phone Dr Laura about it! (not really)

Yes, and it's even worse when bullying continues into adulthood. This can sometimes make for tension and uneasy feelings just about any place where such people are present, especially at work.
