Gods armor, the gospel of peace.

It sounds like a change of attitude could help with that, to crush that serpent under your heel. God did not place in us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love, and a sound mind. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

We are a Royal Priesthood, sanctified in Messiah, shining as lights amidst a crooked and perverse generation. Who would pluck a fig from a thorn bush? Men are recognised by their fruits. Therefore be holy as God is holy.

I have no wrath. Should someone give Me briars and thorns in battle, then I would step on them. I would burn them completely. - Isaiah 27:4

Therefore, this is what the LORD says: If you return, I will restore you; you will stand in My presence. And if you speak noble words, rather than worthless ones, you will be My spokesman. It is they who must turn to you; you must not turn to them. - Jeremiah 15:19

YHWH is our protector and defendor and strength and courage,
YESHUA is our wisdom and experiental knowledge and peace and joy and righteousness... without measure (no limit)...

and of course "vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord" with great purpose - "do not take your own vengeance" nor even think such thoughts....

Since YHWH is for us, what can the world do to us ?

This gospel of peace is a far cry from the contemporary gospel in which a wrathful, vindictive God is demanding blood. This gospel of peace is such as is found in Ephesians 2:15, Isaiah 11:6, Revelation 1:18, Romans 14:4, Ephesians 4:25.

I think it's first and foremost speaking of man's relationship with God. Romans 5:10 & Colossians 1:21.

I feel strongly allured by this scripture. The world however is not a peaceful place. I suppose that's why we walk by faith not sight, while wearing the shoes of peace.

The gospel of peace is not peace as the world thinks.
We preach PEACE, the gospel , the only way a person can have peace with GOD.
the reconciliation of mankind to GOD by Christ alone. the gospel of peace.
For as it is written their is NO PEACE unto the wicked.
PEACE is found ONLY IN CHRIST. sadly the gospel of peace
is being shut down In the name of the all inclusive interfaith for WORLD peace.
But JESUS did not come to bring peace on earth, rather division.
HIS PEACE is THE GOSPLE .

It would obviously depend upon the context of the situation for which peace is required, but our peace comes from knowing that we serve The King of kings, and that heaven serves Him (John 18:36). Therefore, just as St. Paul and Silas endured terrible injustice and seemed to have been overcome and trapped in Acts 16:22-24, they had the peace of knowing that Jesus Christ had overcome the world and thrown the devil out of heaven, so we see peace in Acts 16:25 and deliverance in Acts 16:26.

When we know this and we live by that faith, through enduring the trials that come toward us, this pattern of faith > peace > deliverance is manifested in our lives and this gives us all the more confidence to share that saving faith with others.

In the fear of Adonai one has strong confidence. It will be a refuge for His children.
- Proverbs 14:26

I don't think the peacemakers are a subset - a small or medium or large part of the body of Christ, no.

For example: were there ANY ekklesia , born again, set apart by YHWH for Himself,
in the New Testament (or since then) who was not a peacemaker ?

Everyone in Christ is a peacemaker, and is supposed to be according to YHWH's Plan, Purpose, and Salvation in Jesus.....

A point to remember when watching individuals or assemblies/ groups/ and the results of their lives and actions....

(This is not to say Jesus Word was wrong, (as there is complete harmony with all of YHWH'S WORD, always) when He says "I came not to bring peace, but a sword(not a physical sword, no).... a sharp two-edged sword to expose and reveal the true motives and intentions of a man's heart ... and to separate father from son, mother from daughter, brother from brother, according to YHWH's Wisdom , Knowledge and Design..... )
