Since we don't live under the OT law anymore, no I don't think they should be put to death. Man's law is sufficient until their day of judgment. If someone had been sexually abused or murdered, then I'd be more inclined to say yes.

That was attempted murder for all eight of them. Thank God the family survived, against great odds.

We actually do to a great extend, but we seem unable to close the deal. It's like the Chicago police, who know who is going to do the shooting, but are unable to stop them. Our laws don't allow it.

Are you able to tell the future, or something? You can't possibly know this.

Similarly: you can't possibly know the futures of the attackers. People can change for the better.

I don't think that anyone should get the death penalty, which includes violent individuals. So I'd much rather we make an attempt to rehabilitate them.
