I do find it very interesting that this narrative got pushed full blast just as the Russia narrative began to fall apart (particularly with Julian Assange trying to prove to congress that Russia was in no way involved with the DNC leaks).

Considering that he was the one who actually released the leaks, he would have the best information on where they came from. Presumably he has evidence about where they originated from that he has not yet released, if he didn't there would be no gain from meeting congressmen behind closed doors. If this evidence is made part of Mueller's investigation, it's hard to see how it could continue. The DNC leaks are the only charge of Russian collusion that has any weight, since we at least know that it happened, but if it's proven to be completely unrelated to Russia they've got nothing left.

It was particularly cunning of the KKK to undertake a century-long campaign of terror and murderous oppression of blacks, and of the Nazis to start a world war and slaughter millions in the name of racial purity, all so they could set Donald Trump up for embarrassment when he innocently defended them.
