OK, well, I guess if it's Chris Christie vs God, I'd put my money on God.
Do you understand what I'm saying, when I say, "What is now New Jersey," as opposed to just saying, "New Jersey"?

Noah lived in [what is now] New Jersey.

Noah did not live in [the state of] New Jersey.

I live here.
So? The continent was populated in prehistoric times--before you lived here. The archaeological evidence is scanty, but it appears that the process may have taken millennia. What makes you think it only took 100 years?

Yes.

Though overall I see this conversation as about the same as asking "What species of Eagle did God use to fly the Jews out of Egypt in Exodus 19:4?"

Where did Noah build the Ark?

Be specific please.

I say he built it in what is now New Jersey.

Be prepared to defend your position.
SO - in your own words, Defend your position, WHY do you say New Jersey, when most of the Biblical world is based in the Middle East?

Just a pet theory of mine.

In other words, you have NO basis on your absurd statement - except that it's just a pet theory and you live there? Yeah, LOADS of people will trust THAT. - NOT

From 1776 to [the California gold rush of] 1849, man went from one end of the country to the other.
Yes, white men went from one end to another of an already populated continent. So what?

The earth has only been in existence five days longer than man has; and three days longer than the sun.

Lol. To think people actually believe that!

I can see God looking down and shaking his head.

That's not my problem.

And encountered other men the entire way.
So?

If that's a reference to the Native American Indians (Shemites), then didn't God tell Noah the Japhethites would end up living in their tents?

New Jersey? And suddenly the great flood makes sense. (just kidding).
The area that Noah lived in at the time was some 3716 miles closer to Mesopotamia back then, since there was no Atlantic Ocean at the time.

Earth was one big continent (Eden/Pangaea), and there was only one ocean (Panthalassa).

Catch up, please.

I say [what is now] New Jersey because of the New Jersey Pine Barrens that could have supplied all the pitch that Noah needed to build the Ark.

I (somewhat) agree that the world [was] based in the Middle East, but by Noah's time, it could have been populated end-to-end from one coast to the other and everywhere in between: north, south, east, and west.

Then call it an "educated guess" if "pet theory" bothers you.

And while you're at it, do something I very seldom ... and I mean VERY SELDOM ... see an educated person do:

Answer the OP, please, in your own words.

Where do you think Noah specifically lived?

I couldn't care less if LOADS of people will trust THAT or NOT.

LOADS of people think the Flood was local, so [unfortunately] I don't blame them for disagreeing with me.

I'd disagree with me too if I was wrong.

Since we know that the Garden of Eden was located somewhere in the ANE because of the reference to ANE rivers in Genesis 2:10-14, Noah must have lived somewhere close to there. He couldn't have lived across the world in New Jersey.
