Or, prophecy was not for our time but for those of the generation of the Apostles!

Prophecy was a factor in my conclusion that Jesus was indeed the predicted Messiah. When talking about future prophecies it's tough not to be intrigued with how Israel is always in the news. How the frame work of a one world government develops in front of our eyes. How WW3, nukes, biological warfare, etc, all make armageddon a possibility at any moment. The moment that we developed a nuke I think that we were on the clock.

The mark of the beast, people see how the possibility of not being able to buy without a microchip is already there. I don't think the mark could be an implanted chip, but the fact that people are already chipped in their hand is definitely capable of fooling people into thinking it's the mark. In the past I thought that that technology was gonna be the mark.

I think it's a positive thing to be able to point to prophecies, and then point to current world events, and let people chew on the question "Hmm, is this really looking to you like nothing more than a 2,000 year old book of fables??"

Weird stories*.. who's Isaac newton?

Sir Isaac Newton 25 December 1642 – 20 March 1726/27[1]) was an English mathematician, astronomer, and physicist (described in his own day as a "natural philosopher") who is widely recognized as one of the most influential scientists of all time and a key figure in the scientific revolution.

Newton's law of universal gravitation states that a particle attracts every other particle in the universe using a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers.[note 1] This is a general physical law derived from empirical observations by what Isaac Newton called inductive reasoning.

You can't predict the end. Nobody knows but God. So why even try... :-/ I can't believe there's so much non sense on a Christian forum...not to sound rude because I'm not trying to be but I'm just saying...do you really believe you can predict the end

Who knows, maybe there are real prophets among us?

In Mark 13 Jesus predicted no one would know the day or the hour of the coming of the son of man, not even the son.

One need not wait til the end of the world to seek God's calling.
John 3:8 (WEB) The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don't know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.

They do not even understand they are observing Astrology with the supposed Rev. 12 sign, which I have proved to them is a farce.

It shouldn't be an all-or-nothing proposition. Do people take it too far? Yes. But that doesn't mean we should ignore it all.

Many modern Christians take comfort in knowing that the end was foretold to be difficult. Imagine facing our world the way it is now with no clue that Jesus said it would be this way.

Hello Jenniferdiana.

I agree with your comment, there is almost a limitless number of interpretations available.

The deeper problem is the method of interpretation that people are taught to use, when they read the Bible. A passage in the Bible may have a simple meaning, but not so with various interpretations, this passage may mean something entirely different to each of these interpretations.

These methods of interpretation produce in themselves a multitude of end time scenarios.

End time descriptions or Eschatology is always chaotic on every Christian forum.

it's a bunch of people who don't know the word... they just try to walk in spirit alone and even in that they are in error. If you walk in word and spirit you know that the word says no man knows the day or the hour. If you just walk in spirit easy to fall for exact times God is coming back stuff.

For me, the mark of the beast is sin. In your hands or in your mind, sin can live.
