Hello brothers and sisters. I've never been in a Christian forum before but I'm here because I'm a broken man. I have sinned against G-d and seek his forgiveness and redemption. I'm not a new believer but in times past and very recently I have forsaken my G-d and it has caused me to lose all that I live for. My family. It was not due to infidelity though I had some issues with inappropriate contentography off and on for a short time. that was quite devastating to my inner life resulting in me betraying my wife. This is not the case now. It's more of a consequence of allowing the evil one to take hold of my mind and spirit. The consequences are devastating to me but mostly to the one I have loved my wife. I guess I'm here to share my story with others in hopes G-d will find mercy and restore me to my wife. We are separated now because I have hurt her heart to the point she no longer wants to be my wife. I can't say I blame her but this pain I feel is so deep. Not just for me but for her because of my actions. I am repentant but my guilt and shame is unbearable.

Remember that Christ did not enter the world so that your sins, weaknesses and failures should be a cause to push you away from Him, but rather, that they would be a cause to push you into His arms.
In addition, if even Paul himself refused to judge his own person (1 Corinthians 4:3), then it has not been given to you to judge your own person. Your actions, yes (according to a biblical standard), but not your person. Big difference. If you find yourself doing otherwise, then remind yourself that you are, in effect, inadvertently usurping God's position as judge in your life.
If Christ would apparently demonstrate mercy for devils by granting their petition, then much more is He there to extend full mercy to you as a born again son! (Mark 5:10-13). Rejoice, for your name is written in heaven! (Luke 10:20)
Peace be still (Matthew 8:23-27), brother.
New beginnings.
New beginnings in Christ Jesus. Newness of life.
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4).

You sound repentant to me. Try to use your pain to help others who made the same mistake as you. So the sin you committed can actually have some benefit. What I mean is you are learning compassion for other sinners, through this trial. Your redemption can be truly glorious if you allow God to take charge from now on.

Welcom to CF. I think God works like this: pray to God, and just live you life, don't expect answers from God thru communion with God. But if you pray, then God will work for you in your life experiences.
for instance, one time I fell off a clif top, and God allowed it, and I was caught by sticker bushes growing out of the cliff's face. I could see the rocks below some 100 feet down as I looked down, and my friends were there and pulled me back up to the top of the cliff. It had been snowing and we were sledding to close to the cliff. But it is a perfect example of how God protects us. I've been near death more than a dozen times in similar near death experiences. God's been there for me every time. And those are the answers I got from God, to be kept alive thru it all.
So keep praying, it does work
