  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

**Sorry for this long post guys. Was trying to be detailed**

Hi guys. I'm back again with another post because everyone was so helpful with my last post. Got some really informative replies so I thought I'd get people's opinions on this one thing that's been nagging at me for the longest while.

So in my last post I said that I usually have dreams that would come to pass. Like the majority of the time I would dream something and then it would happen. So, I had 2 dreams where I dreamt my future husband and 1 where I saw my engagement ring up close. I would love to know what you guys think about them.

First husband dream:

About a year ago, I had a dream where I saw my wedding reception and my new mother-in-law was there and she was VERY drunk; I guess she was having a good time. Now, I have never seen this woman EVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE (not that I remember anyway). So the dream then skips to the next dream sequence and I see the same mother-in-law standing in what looked like a beautiful backyard of a huge house. This backyard was BEAUTIFUL. There were flowers everywhere like a garden, and I think there was a pond, and freshly cut lawn and a patio table and chairs. Anyway, I also saw myself in the backyard walking my new husband out to his car but I could only see the back of him. He was tall with very black hair- I remember thinking that he could be italian/spanish/saudi arabian. I'm not sure because I didn't see his face, but the texture and color of his hair looked like it could be of a man with italian/spanish/saudi arabian decent. He was dressed nicely; he was wearing a nice business shirt with nice pants and shoes- very executive like. I remember he was leaving to go on a business trip (he had luggage) concerning a company that he owned. And then I woke up.

Here's where it gets strange. In the dream I was told the name of the company that he owned and I googled it when I woke up. It was AN ACTUAL COMPANY. It was a company that either made or distributed (I cant really remember) alcohol!....and the company was based in Scotland. I guess that would explain why his mother was so drunk at the reception.

I cant remember the company name now because I just brushed it off thinking it was a coincidence, but now I'm so mad at myself that I didn't write it down.

Engagement Ring dream:

After that first husband dream, I saw my engagement ring being put onto my wedding finger- I didn't see who was putting it on. It had three stones (the bigger stone in the middle) and a bunch of tiny diamonds around the band. I googled it and saw it was called the "Past, Present and Future" ring. Just to give you guys a better idea of what it looked like.

Second husband dream:

This dream happened about 2 weeks. I saw myself sitting on a church balcony eating a cookie. Then this guy walks in and says to me: "I'm looking for Adalia...." he actually said my entire name.
I then replied "Why are you looking for her?" and then he said "I'm here to convince her to marry me".

After he said that, I remembered thinking "So this is the guy I'm supposed to marry. I like him". Him coming to see me apparently changed my mind and I was ready to marry him right then and there because....I thought he was cute and I liked him immediately, haha.

But this guy's look (height and hair type) was the EXACT SAME as the guy I dreamed previously. This time I saw his face (although its a little blurry now) and he did look to be of italian/spanish/saudi arabian decent, just like the other guy whose face I didn't see. So that was the end of that dream.

So you guys, my question is: Could God have possibly shown me my future husband???. Does he do that? Show people their future spouses??? I know I have dreams that come to pass but these dreams seem a little to good to be true.

I think that maybe that first dream lingered in your mind so a later dream added on to it. Not too common but I've had it happen before. Actually quite a few of my dreams that I've written down over the past couple months take place in a similar location and such so is like I have an entire dream city my mind keeps adding on to.

I guess time will tell if you meet a guy like that.

So, the dreams have told you he is nice looking and possibly has a lucrative business and he is very interested in getting you to marry him.

But these are not things we need to prepare for, in order to do well in marriage. So, I would say invest your attention in reading what the Bible says about how to relate in love in a close relationship, and do your relating this way with whoever you have for really Christian people to share with.

And in case someone were to show great interest in you, it is good to understand why. Is it about how smart and attractive you are, and maybe charming and romantic, or is it about how are you obviously helping him to learn how to love and how to please God?

How much did the dreams call attention to this?

:)

The dreams didn't really go into detail about those things. I just saw what he looked like and that he possibly had a steady job. Maybe my future dreams would reveal those things you talked about. Thanks for replying and for the advice :)

God can lead you to your future husband, any thing is possible. But the devil can mess with us too. What I would say is don't cut off future prospects based upon dreams. Just go about your life normally. If it turns out you meet the man in your dreams, then take things easy, even then don't say God wants us to be together, just act normally, test out the man like you would any other.

Yes you're right. I don't plan on disregarding future prospects. If I happen to meet the "man of my dreams" then that would be fantastic :)

you asked if God 'does things like that' well why wouldn't He? He can do anything; anything He wants:) He even says in the Bible that His thoughts are not always our thoughts, His ways are not our ways...He does unique things to certain people, things others who haven't experienced these types of things would think as strange or unheard of from God...but in my experiences He has done things that one would have never even dreamed He would actually do in certain situations. I would just ask HIM if He was the One who gave you those dreams and since He knows how to get His answer through to you, just trust Him to then. Fast if you want in order to hear better. Or ask for another dream w/ him in it again.
