I bought a small spray bottle for Listerine. It's also good under the arms and on the scalp.

Body odor is a bacterial problem. Listerine absolutely nukes them. Scalp itch, ditto. You would no longer need that head-scratching emoticon!

In all seriousness, you're sweating a lot in that area. I had the same problem for a couple of decades. Keep your groin area shaved.....problem goes away.

and
why a shower filter helps so many people in the usa.
(tap water/ etc) causes a lot of rashes and so-called 'exc*ma'/ ps*riasis all across the country - people take /get medicine for it including even by dorctors prescriptions for years in a row sometimes,
and nothing helps until they discover the (so simple) cause !

'Dry Intestine' also is a cause of many skin conditions.... (see info online or at a library/ health food store/ health consultant trained) ...

Oh really. Don't think I have a yeast infection though.

Candida is a major cause of jock itch as well as yeast infection in women.

Try drinking some raw apple cider vinegar mixed with water and a little honey to taste 2x/day. You can apply it topically, but it'll burn like heck.

I perspire easily, so jock itch is common for me. I alternate between topical applications of an antibiotic ointment like bacitracin, and Gold Bond medicated powder. Seems to help a lot.

The ointment curbs the fungus and bacteria, which is a major cause for the ravenous itching. The Gold Bond Powder keeps the area dry and the menthol soothes the itching.

Peppermint essential oil is also good for the itching.

That's funny right there! Jock itch is a yeast (fungal) infection. Yeast is a fungus. You can also just use those spray's for athletes foot. Athletes foot spray seems to be cheaper than jock itch sprays for the very same medication in the can! They know how to loosen the money out of your pocket.
