There are quite a few verses that people bring up that says that those who are Born Again through Jesus sin no more. Moreover, why would Jesus tell us to be perfect as God is in Heaven if we couldn't be?

You are missing the point, i am not disputing that, we are to be Christ-like if we are to be His bride you are correct in this. But that choice to obey Him and lead a sinless life is still ours.

Edit: I am sorry, sister i stepped out of bounds. Didn't realize that debate is not allowed here. I will pray for you sister, that you will overcome your feelings of hopelessness in Jesus name. You are saved, sister, be content in Him.

I actually don't go to church because I don't know which church to go to...I'm a new believer of Christ and I have yet to decide on a denomination, if any.

Haha, like I could afford professional help.

But it's true, isn't it? It's written in the bible, which is the word of God. Few will take the narrow road (aka the road to Heaven). And most of my friends and family don't believe in God.

Find a local Eastern Orthodox Church and make an appointment to speak with the priest. EO Churches are considered hospitals for the soul so go get some healing.

For me, it's not about me being worthy of Christ. It's almost the other way around, I'm surely not worthy. And that's what makes it amazing. And it's one thing to say it, and another to experience it. I've fully experienced, and will experience many times again how sinful I am. And the more I'm honest with myself, the deeper the hole goes.

I've also been through all those fears. I've also been through severe doubts. I will go through them again. But every time it happens, all I can do is pray and give my worries to God. It's far better than willingly succumbing to the mindless fear and confusion. I let it go, I let God be God, and I pray for good things. Then I can allow myself to be free, and to love, and to hope. If I don't, if I take these things (God, Christ) as chains on my hands and feet, I can't grow in any way, I can't hope, I can't love, I can't forgive.

So do yourself a favor and stop giving your fears any more power. Give it all to God, and obey the spirit of grace, don't obey the spirit of fear. We're not supposed to run around in horror like headless chickens. And like many have said, I hope you get some help. We're not supposed to live in constant fear and stress. There are hard times in life and faith, and then there are illnesses. You said you can't afford to get help. I don't know how much it costs in the US, but if you have a paypal I could give you a little money, just give me a PM and I'll answer when I see it (sometimes a few days go by when I don't check this tab on my browser).

Said a prayer for you, I hope you get some peace. Things like this, what you're going through, seem to be common with new believers. Mental problems don't help either. You're surely not alone in this.

Don't worry about it. I'd feel bad taking your money, especially if nothing comes of it. ( I'm not one to share personal stuff with ppl face to face so Idk if therapy would work.) Thanks anyway and I will trust in God.

Alright, but it's not like I'm hoping to invest in some staged boxing match where results are the only things I care about. Help is help. Effort is also effort, nevermind the results. Therapy isn't a skill in itself, nobody has to be "good" at it. Most of the people in need of it are NOT people who like to talk about their issues nor do they even know how to talk about them. It's just a thing where one can get to the point of absolute honesty with him/herself, and a way to learn how to spot harmful and straight-up bad and insane thought patterns, with someone who (hopefully) knows their stuff. Slowly. The offer stands if if you like to take it someday. God bless.
