Darn, you sound no different than our churches.
We supposed to preach the gospel of JESUS to win souls, not fear man.
Nor to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers doing good works.
our common UNITY has nothing to do with world peace.
OUR UNITY is in Christ alone.
Understand this, that in time this beloved interfaith by so many
will end up causing the gospel that offends to be shut down.
World peace and that which causes division of that peace, cannot co exist.
Think I came to give peace on earth, aka world peace
I say nay , but rather division.
the gospel is not inclusive, though its open to all who receive it.
thus due to it offends, it will be shut down in time , and all in the name of peace and unity.
Just take a peek at the pope and some leaders in all churches
HEY world they say.....................lets come together , FOOTBALL is where we can find our common ground and unity.
WRONG answer pope. JESUS is our UNITY
world peace and the peace which reconciles man to GOD
is on fast track for a head on collision.
cause men like me, that see muslims are going to warn muslims to repent and come to CHRIST
and pard, that causes OFFENSE, it causes division,
What I have said to one , I say to all................flee any form of interfaith
and false prophets who seek world peace, and have shut down the gospel
so they can have the world unified and not divided. IN case many have not figured that one out yet.
its why your churches, most all churches are being taught , lets not offend
lets see what we have in common. pards, what we have in common aint supposed to be of this world
Its supposed to be CHRIST alone.

and that in time is why peopple like me will be made rid from the earth
cause we wont cease warning out against sin, the need for repentance
and we wont stop saying JESUS is the only way. when i said my religion is the most hated it is
cause all religions in time , catholics, mormons , jehovas , heck muslims , buddits ,atheist
agnostice , name they claim it, will have this one thing in common
men like me , who divide and refuse to budge one ounce from the truth
they will hate. and more and more this will increase
till the world as one will think it does Gods willof peace and unity
as its getting rid of people who wont budge from the concept of UNITY in CHRIST alone.
many of you alll, better figure this one out fast, and i did not just say mormons , i gave a huge list.

Living peacefully and loving our neighbors doesn't mean we don't preach the Gospel. We can still preach the Gospel and not be jihadists.

what did Francis say again. WOO < WEE.......i am ready to die for the LORD
cause i bodly refuse to confrom to any aspect of interfaith. but i do have this one request
from God,
tothose who will persecute me , to those who would even kill me in time, LORD FORGIVE THEM ALL.
does that sound like a jihadest....................exactly , yet i will be seen as dangerous ,
cause with all my heart i will die before i conform to satans religoins of interfaith. amen and forever amen.

Again: we can remain focused on the teachings of Christ without literally pointing guns at people.
My lady , my goodness who said anything about a gun. Remember I said we pray for our enemies
we don't kill them in the name of GOD, like interfaith and the world will soon do to those like me
who refuse the devils religion of interfaith.
just watch in time , more and more of those who follow interfaith
will see ones like me as jihadist or dangerous , and then a solution will come up
hey lets round these dangerous ones up. just watch for it the hate against ones like me , will increase.
but not you, of course you believe I have the RIGHT to believe as I believe. so not you, of course not.

Neither. I'm sorry that you're not understanding LDS believes in this regard- I'll try to help clarify.

The quote is not about the possibility of the the Father's past at all. Rather it is about us and our possible future: to become joint-heirs with Christ through His amazing grace. Here are some scripture verses about it:
  • Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father, Matt. 5:48 (3 Ne. 12:48).
  • we are the offspring of God, Acts 17:29.

  • heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ, Rom. 8:17.

  • changed into the same image from glory to glory, 2 Cor. 3:18.

  • if a son, then an heir of God through Christ, Gal. 4:7.

  • Till we all come … unto a perfect man, Eph. 4:13.

  • be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live, Heb. 12:9.

  • when he shall appear, we shall be like him, 1 Jn. 3:2.

  • him that overcometh will … sit with me in my throne, Rev. 3:21.
We become ONE with God, not replace Him or anything silly like that. Still only ONE God.

Jane, it should be rather telling to you as a defender of the truth of Mormonism that the only apologetic you have for Defending Your Faith is to pretend that your church doesn't teach this belief.

God “was once as one of us” makes it Crystal Clear what it is talking about. Did you notice it's quoting the sermon that I quoted you? There is nothing unclear here.. what's clear is you're being intellectually dishonest and dodging the question because you don't have any ground to stand on.

Mormonism teaches and has always taught that God was once a man and he attained godhood and that Mormons can also become gods. Read that link I gave you again because that's what it says. Pretending it doesn't say that is not a defense. Anyone reading this thread will see that you clearly have nothing to say regarding the contradiction between what the Bible says and what your prophet says.

I said that LDS believe that we should live in peace and settle disagreements peacefully. You vehemently disagreed with the idea and didn't object to the label of jihadist, so that was my logical conclusion.

Do you believe what we should live peacefully with those who have different beliefs that you?
of course you believe I have the RIGHT to believe as I believe. so not you, of course not.
I do of course acknowledge your right to believe and worship how you may (same with everyone else). Doesn't mean I have to agree or like your beliefs (again, same with everyone else).

Teach this belief? I went through and documented the number of Sunday School / other sermons that even touch on this subject in any speculative manner (not even doctrinal). The sum total was <10 minutes in the last 270720 minutes of teaching, or 0.005%.

When was the last time you attended LDS services and saw this taught?

The LDS churches does publish more things that just official scriptures and doctrine. Heck, they even publish coloring books.
Latter-day Saints can face excommunication if they publicly discuss certain elements of the church's theology. Like the things that take place within the temple. So, we know you will not be truly open and honest in this discussion.

Only approved, card carrying Mormons are allowed within the temple to participate. Whatever takes place within those walls is not allowed to be spoken to outsiders...or excommunication awaits. So, how would/could that even be possible...to hear the deeper indoctrinations that are taught?

in peace yes, but can no man persuade me to agree it interfaith , nor stop me from saying all who believe not in Jesus
will not see life , but will face the second death. No force on earth will have me cease from preaching Christ to the lost.
Till the day of my last breath. And till then I will also warn all to flee any concept of interfaith.
Their is only ONE GOD and only One way to Him, by the SON alone
and confession of mouth and believe in heart . I wish no harm to those who hate me
I believe in no self defense. Yet in time my kind will be seen no different than jihadist.
I welcome all persecution against me for JESUS sake and shall wish no harm to those who hate me.
But I will and would rather die ten thousand of the harshest death than to sell out to the mother of all false religions interfaith.
And no threat of harm by man , govt , or the gates of hell itself shall move me off my course to follow , obey and teach ONLY
Christ . I bless all who hate me. but I will never change back to this wicked world, its ways, nor serve no god
but the ONLY GOD and HIS son Christ . amen and I say forver amen. and I welcome you
to cast aside all Mormon belief and interfaith and join me in preaching the only true gospel that saves mens lives. amen.

Quite warmly.

We so very often extend our hand of friendship to mainline Christianity.

...Who, in turn, so often responds by stealing our watch and running off with it.
I don't care about money, gold, self esteem, the TRUTH of our LORD is loved first , before all things
I place Christ above and before all humanity, before me, before my son and daughter.
BUT, it is because of THIS LOVE for HIM , that i TRULY have learned how to love all , even mine enemies.
I wont steal your watch. but warn against what is false , i willl do.
because i love you all.

Mans physcology teaches that ones like me are dangerous , perhaps have even a virus.
i would like to hear from both ironhold and jane doe.
DO you all believe that a man like me that places God, Christ , before anything
is mental. You do not have to be mean and i wont be mad no matter what you say.
This is more for my own personal knowledge.
Before you decide its only fair to quoate JESUS
HE who loves mother , father , son or daughter etc more than ME is not worthy of me.
I live with this in my heart and refuse to cease from this.
but its also fair , before you make your decision, to also know
that it is by this love and from this love , that i have learned to love all man before myself as well.
and the love of GOD corrects for it desires none to perish. so i want you to know
i am all out whole hearted in my faith.

Living peacefully and loving our neighbors doesn't mean we don't preach the Gospel. We can still preach the Gospel and not be jihadists.

How can LDS purport to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ when the founder of the belief system said "the Bible is unreliable and incomplete." The LDS wrote and accepts three other books to correct The Bible. I think that is called extra-biblical.

“The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints accepts four books as scripture: the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. These books are called the standard works of the Church. The inspired words of our living prophets are also accepted as scripture…. The Lord inspired the Prophet Joseph to restore truths to the Bible that had been lost or changed since the original words were written. These inspired corrections are called the Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible” (Gospel Principles [2009], 45, 46).

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Well hello and happy Mother's Day to you :).

I assure you, if there anything I'm uncomfortable chatting about and it comes up, I'll just say so and decline to give that information. Just like if you asked a question about my sex life or SSN. There is no need to discriminatly assume people are lying.

Official Sunday school lesson on the topic at hand:

Gospel Principles Chapter 1: Our Father in Heaven

What about the things LDS teach in secret at temple? You are not allowed to speak about those things publicly. Ever. Or excommunication awaits.

Jesus Christ and the Apostles proclaimed Truth in public. There certainly is a width, breadth, depth and height to the things of God that comes by revelation of the Holy Spirit, but nothing that cannot be tested through scriptures of The Holy Bible. In Christ alone, all hope is found.
