  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I really feel sorry for you. I know in your lifetime you have hated someone or will hate some one.

Perhaps you took the verse out of context?

I feel sorry for you if you teach false security to those in sin. If you say to the wicked they shall have peace (read Jeremiah 23)

when I have sinned I am not in God at that time. I cannot say I know God or have seen him ( 1 John 3:6 KJV) and then I repent and confess quickly and continue in faith. But if I harden my heart in sin and backslide and have an evil heart of unbelief, then I am in greater danger. If I abide not in Christ I can be a castaway and thrown into the fire.

as My Lord said

"6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

7
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."(John 15:6,7 KJV)

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;"

if we do not then Christ shall profit us nothing and we will not be a partaker of Christ and depart from God through and evil heart of unbelief. To depart from God is not to be with God. and not to be in God.

and we read in that chapter

19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief."

Revelation 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death

Typically when I read before and after your verses...one can see where you have ripped them out of context. I don't intend to show you where each verse you presented shows that it is not what the bible says.

Now, if you present your very best verse....with a discription why it says you can Lose your salvation...I'll point out your error.

Do you know when you present your broken theology.....you condemn yourself to hell? If you ever had salvation you have already lost it.

I have no broken theology here. And you lie there. If we walk in the light we have and not wilfully knowingly sinning we are in grace. God will show all of us if there is error and when we are convinced of sin by the Spirit we must act. So far you have not convinced me of anything

a born again believer can lose their salvation and go to hell

did you read my Judas post?

and did you find an answer for the angels that sinned and will end up in the lake of fire?

they were perfect in all their ways as Lucifer was until iniquity was found in him. He abode not in the truth and sinned.

this shows a heavenly being can end up where all lost souls will end up, in the lake of fire.

there are so many verses A;; Hebrews 3 fro verse 1 to 14 is strong,

but heres a section

"26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

the context of John 15 is clear every branch in Him is only referring to salvation in Christ. If they abide not in him they are lost. Read 1 John who uses the same language about abiding in him

and here is a good verse to consider as well

2 Chronicles 15:2
"...The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if yeforsake him, he will forsake you."

I'm adding that one to my arsenal. :)

I don't think you know what the word ETERNAL means. If you have eternal life..that means eternal. Forever. Not a temporary eternal life. John 3:16 proclaims ETERNAL life for the believers.

As to your post on Judas..I haven't read it yet.

That seems to be a take off of the old classic, if we try to obey the laws of God we are depending on works to be saved, so if we break one of then, we are lost.

Or in better and more realistic perspective, if we try obey God, we are lost. This stuff is right from the mouth of the master...master of confusion.

Do you not know that everytime you sin you sin willfully?

According to your theology tou lose your salvation everytime you sin.

Is it really referring to salvation? You said it is clear....I think not.

Your salvation has nothing to do with you. It is all God. Your walk...different story.

Nope. They cannot.

did you read my Judas post?

I did. And it was full of bad handling of Scripture. It also ignores the question of why Christ needed to die if people could be saved before he was crucified.

and did you find an answer for the angels that sinned and will end up in the lake of fire?

they were perfect in all their ways as Lucifer was until iniquity was found in him. He abode not in the truth and sinned.

What does any of this have to do with born-again, divinely-adopted, joint-heirs with Christ? Jesus didn't die on the cross for angels.

Selah.

I understand, and it's too bad it's made so complicated by some, as it's really quite simple. Keep your eyes open, seek the truth, and you will find it.

From you and @LoveofTruth it seems to be simply "no". I messed up. The verses above seem to say I have messed up too badly and am on the path to hell. :(
